Very very early days I know, but as soon as I started to drive I thought I could feel it.

Went around the 1st corner and the right foot gave it a bit and.......... well lets just say that it took a fair bit to get the heart rate back to normal.
Definitely no doubt at all, it grabs you & throws you back into the seat.

It would be too one sided a race & now I have to be carefull of getting tickets & photos along the way.

However you are welcome to pm me & we can meet & I'll show you so you can see & experience it for yourself.

    Cheers

No worries, are you able to post a photo by any chance?

I am running out of spots to mount one also.

    Hi Dave,

Due to the ABR battery monitor, uhf radio, scan guage, tyre pressure monitoring system &spotlight, compressor & air locker switches already being installed I didn't have many options left.

The egt is mounted on the side of the console beside the cup holders.

    Cheers

    Hi Lawrie,

Where did you get the EGT display mounted?

I am trying to find some photo's of where people have installed theirs on a 150.

    Cheers

    Hi Robert,

Thank you for your work & committment to your product, especially via this forum, it has been as others have found it, an interesting read.

I have the "Chip it" chip & EGT installed & as I have said, it is very early days yet but there have been no issues whatsoever, from the word go.

In fact my mate (who is a distibutor for another brand of chip) said that it is and I quote " actually a very good set up" unquote.
    So well done Robert.

You have stated on this forum that while there were problems with the 150's & that you believe that you have rectified this & there has been no indication, during the fitting or driving since that there is. a problem. :-D 8)

    Thank you
    Lawrie

This is my third Chipit and had been trouble free for a year... Grrr

For the record I noticed no difference in EGTs between stock and chipped.
Check for water ingress on the board Schniff. If you cannot see any, Please let us have a look at it. Also, feel free to call me on my mobile if you like to discuss. 0412 304030

By the way probably shouldn't be towing in S5. Using overdrive puts a lot more stress on the gearbox when doing heavy towing, the manual says to use S4 and I find it gives nearly the same economy. Might be worth checking your tranny oil.
    Gotta love forums for this

I bought a new Prado GXL in 2011, 2000kms later I thought it could do with more performance. I Googled power chip, so many to choose from. Read all the info for different chips and went with my gut feeling and chose Chip it. I purchased a chip and 3" Mantra exhaust. Great no problems. Was using program 5. Five months later 2 error codes came up. I rang Justin he told me to take it back for a check and fitted a the new chip. The service I recieved from the day I bought it has been A1. From then till now I have had no prblems. I tow a 2.3ton dirt road pop-top caravan, averaging 15-16LPH. Chips on program 7. EGT 380-440 in S 5 lockup. All the power I need to overtake. To all you fence sitters make up your own mind on what chip you want. I can't say Chip it is the best chip becaause I haven't tried the rest. I suits me but you don't know what your missing. Robert I wish you had the discount when I bought my stuff buy ha its too good to worry about.
    See ya Mike
    Hi Mike,

Thanks for taking the time to write about your experience with Chip It. Interesting to see that PP has members that follow the threads but are not active posters. I wonder how many others of you are out there lurking around lol.

People by now know we had issues with Chip vs Prado but I believe we have it licked now. Not so surprisingly, Prado is one of our biggest sellers and so we really wanted to get this right. It also mens that if we do not have it right, we soon know about it. I can say that the last iteration of the Chip to suit the Prado is on the money.

Again, for those that got caught up by the OP Amp issues you soon saw what sort of company were by the customer support we provided in the interim. Those that had issues on PP, like Mike here, I thank you for your patience and then support to write up and give us a thumbs up in the end.

That the extra effort is appreciated makes it worthwhile in my opinion.

    Cheers

    I happen to agree Sean.

In things I have purchased over the years, others going before me have helped me save time and money too. The best of the web in my opinion

Now 2 days straight playing with it on mild to moderate setting. No more sudden lurch after wait for exceleration, less fuel use on factory indicator since I am not hitting it as much for more power, no hiccups. May be the new download but works a treat!
    Thanks for the feedback.
