Chip-IT - I assume that LOL actually means no

I would have thought now that all the bugs are ironed out, you would have been jumping at the chance to have someone be the Guinea Pig and test it for you and provide a genuine response on its performance. Atleast that way you would be able to put all the doubters to rest, and thus increase sales...

I told you the Prado is a hard one to crack ... but no one believes me. And BTW, to make 20% gain is bloody easy. Try 30 - 40% straight out of the box!

Mate has a Roo System chip in his BT50 - rattles, smokes, stops, limps. Been back 3 times so far trying to sort it out. He's disappointed but persisting.
Roo Systems to their credit haven't taken any money off him - haven't charged him for the chip until it's right.

chip it, can i have an address to send my chip to to have it sorted again please, it sometimes goes into limp mode whilst driving and of course the no start issue... i havnt been using it for quite some time, but for an expensive accessory i would rather have it at least functioning

    thankyou

Dodgy Dave with a Chip, now that's asking for trouble. Remember, we've seen you behind the wheel.

Chip IT - I am willing to test one of your new chips to set the record straight on this forum! I am happy to run it free of charge, report back to all about my experience, and then provide all with a professional and satisfactory report on the handling and hopefully no issues.

    Thoughts??

small world... everyone seems to know you Mic.

BTW, when I mentioned those chips are all the same, I meant, all the same as each other, all made by the same factory. Chip It are the only Chips made by an Aussie company here in Australia. Re Toyota and diesel Chips: one dealer in QLD left the DP Chip fold because they were having troubles with 70 Series V8s and Prados. (low fuel pressure and hard to start) (that was a time when Chip It were not having issues!) Then there was an ECU change or the Chip set / frequency rate was changed in the Prado??? (guessing here) and we started having issues.

All I know is that the Prado does not like a voltage offset and correlation between CR Sensor voltage and ECU voltage has to be perfect. If the battery voltage was down, the Prado would not start. If a Chip was connected to the secondary batter and it was low, it would not start. Put the car on a battery charger and it started 100%, every time. If we took 12 volts power the run the Chip from the battery (Pos and Neg) some Prados experienced this low fuel pressure warning (not really a low fuel pressure issue at all, just voltage correlation). So right now, we are trying 12 volts Pos from the Battery and 12 volts Neg from the Rail Sensor. This seems to work.

All new Chips, or any warranty Chips, are getting this upgraded feature and even on problematic vehicles it seems to work.

Yes, its been painful and very very disappointing for us (and customers) but we are not running away from it. We are here to help where we can, and as seen by recent testimonials we sometimes get it right even.

We trust we are at the end of this phase too. We have a top product, and as Mic mentions we are super keen enthusiasts with a passion for the diesel performance industry, have more features and benefits than the opposition hands down and are cheaper. A Fuel only Chip $1499 or ours with Fuel and Turbo and EGT Control $1399. So we just need to sort this mess and get the unhappy customer back on track with the new iteration. And then feedback is vital.

BTW, you know we made an Steinbuayer type Injector Chip just for this Common Rail Sensor voltage Correlation issue. The Dominator 2 was a birth at out this Prado dilemma. So we have a Dom1 and Dom2 now. And with a Dom1 and Dom2 we made another Chip called the Dom 3. It does Rail, Injector and Boost tuning.

At the bottom of the page linked here you will see the 3 types and what they do.

    3.0 D4d with Dom3 -over 70% increase in torque

And just for fun: 90% increase in torque on a 70 Series with Dom3
