      Perfect
That explains our 127kW here then.
Glad I'm buying a Kakadu soon while it has no DPF! 127kW is just fine.
Glad the D4D is 4 cylinder, won't be long until the spread between 4 & 6 cyl rego will be $500 I expect.

Again, no difference between Oz and Euro diesel. Besides, isn't that the point of the diesel particulate filter?
2009 Prado 150 D4D GXL with 265/70R17 Cooper AT/3 tyres, Max Trax, HR tow bar, Airtec snorkel, UHF and the usual recovery gear. On the list: cargo barrier, Bilstein shocks and King springs, deluxe winch bar, 10000lb winch, Lightforce 240 XGT spotlights, dual spare wheel carrier

Are you sure there is not a diesel particulate filter, pretty sure that there is one directly after the dump pipe.
Could be wrong though, but that can sure stays hot after you shutoff like a DPF.
          Kev,

2010 Silver 5dr GXL, Auto, diesel, ARB Deluxe bar, ARB bash plates, lightforce 170's, safari snorkel, towbar, dual batteries, air bags, trans cooler, Kings/Koni's, ARB rack, Cooper S/T Maxx's, Rock Tamers, Beaudesert 2.75" exhaust and more to come.

Just looking at the safari snorkel web site and i note that for the 150 series they have "coming soon" a snorkel for the 5l-E diesel motor. Is this some new ubeaut motor or is it a motor that is being used in countries that don,t worry about about euro 4/5 specs etc,i thought that the L family series of motors where old hat like the old 2L,3L as used in hI luxes etc and the E being electronic.
New 2015 150s GX 5 seater with floor mats, towbar and a big wish list
Previously a 2004 120s 1KZ GX silver manual with stuff
before that a 1996 RV6 90S with lots of gear

correct, diesel in europe and asia is higher octane then our diesel here so they burn cleaner and are more efficient. this is also the reason for diesel rattle in commonrail diesels - they are designed not to rattle but our shitty fuel makes sure that they do hahah

                    what is this about?

as far as i'm aware australian fuel has the same sulfur rating as other places such as europe and japan but I was under the impression they had a higher cetane rating meaning their fuel burns easier. I could be wrong here as I'm not a diesel refiner or involved in running petrol stations lol

point is you can tune diesel rattle out by adjusting timing and fuel as CRD's don't have diesel rattle in other countries.

I'm guessing the 'oh dear' is because the same BS about cetane / octane [lol] rating is going round in circles in this thread - Australia in fact has identical diesel fuel standards to Europe in terms of cetane, sulphur, etc.

the diesel fuel in OZ and the UK is both the same shit, I think the confusion comes about for cetane index and cetane number. but if we keep repeating that our fuel is more shit we should believe it.
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats.
