      • Had mine done today & so far a vast improvement. No hesitation at all on the roundabout where it always did before the upgrade.

        Thanks Riv.

        Cheers

          • Good to see REV, do you notice that the shifting pattern is completely different and the way it holds 4th a lot more?

Cruise always worked in sport mode, I just used it for towing a camper for 1000kms

Yes, in the couple of drives I've had since getting the upgrade yesterday I have noticed a difference in the shifting & more so the way it holds 4th a bit longer in lower speeds. But I am very happy with the results from the upgrade.

It just goes to show if you can deal with one service advisor it makes everything so much easier. When I first reported the hesitation & that I was concerned about it, the advisor that i normally deal with wasn't there that day & another advisor said that it was normal & not too worry about it as every thing was fine.
When I went back in armed with the tsb number, the advisor that I normally (try) & speak to was there and when I told him about the hesitation he said he was aware of an upgrade.
he looked it up & there it was. (surprise surprise) I didn't need the tsb number that you supplied Riv but, thanks very much for your effort & info sharing, this is what makes this forum the great one that it is.

                  Cheers

                      • No problem at all guys, the forum is great and I'm sure it has contributed to a number of improvements through members efforts.

I must confess that I believe the upgrade has led to slightly worse fuel economy but I still prefer the new shift pattern and no flat spot. I am going to start driving in S mode again for a comparison as I believe it does not hold 4th as much. I'll report back on my findings.

Wooley, I used S mode all the time before the upgrade an cruise worked fine for me.

I must just be on crack then. maybe it did work and I just thought it wouldn't.

and I agree, the fuel economy is definitely worse.

Only city driving has suffered IMO, open road as per before.
