Hi Sam,
Good to see your putting in the yards to try and help address some of the issues and it's greatly appreciated, but it's unfortunate I need to ask you a question that six ARB stores have been asked and left a contact numbers but non of which have returned a call in the last two weeks along with two emails sent to Sales @ARB of which no reply after eight days, so can you help,
I have had a Sarahia Bar for a 2006 Prado on order now for five weeks from a ARB store in Sydney and can not get any kind of delivery date. Nor a ETA if I reordered as of today. No one returns a call or email.
It would be nice to know so I have the option to cancell the order or order another type or make of bar.
Can you help.

Hi there grandeandy01, have your paid a deposit ?? If not Id take my business elsewhere. Do TJM not have a suitable bar ?? or Ironman ?? That is disgusting service from a major retailer in 4wd equipment. I know Sam is trying to do his best (which is great) but I think he has his work cut out for himself. If you cant even get a call or email back from the head office itself then what hope have you got ?? (presuming you sent one there as your reasonably close ??) I really hope Sam has some luck with what he trying to achieve in rectifying the customer service issues. Shame there isnt some more competition. Problem is probably like yourself, I like ARB products and have used them previously so have no issues with actual quality of the after market parts, just service and fitment quality...............Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. Re the current delays, we can only apologise and acknowledge the frustration of our customers. The truth is, demand for our products has effectively doubled this year, and, coupled with the release of many new and face lift vehicles recently, we're struggling to keep up.
In order to rectify this, our Kilsyth factory has been, and will continue to work 24 hours a day to keep up with this demand.
In order to further maximise our output, we have recently made significant investments to increase our manufacturing capabilities including the commencement of a third factory (which will be more than double the size of our main Kilsyth premises), and the purchase of additional machinery (worth more than $3million) to increase efficiency and output in our current factories.
The delays our customers are experiencing are certainly not being taken lightly. Rest assured, we're doing everything possible to rectify the situation.

Hi Daniel, the same applies as with all of our other stores/stockists. Your first port of call should be the Branch Manager. If you're still having issues then the [email protected] address is the best way to get your issue resolved by our State and/or National Managers.Originally posted by daniel View Postwhat if its the head office with the issues in the fitting area
In your specific case Daniel, your concerns were passed on to our Victorian Sales Manager who is now overseeing your job.

Nicely put...Originally posted by daniel View PostSam word of advice #### off all your shit fitters and get people that no what there doing and qualified id happily pay more to have the install done right THE FIRST TIME
I see the problem not being limited to the guy doing the work. Its the supervisor who allows the ordinary work to go out that creates the "she'll be right" mentality. The majority of the dodgy work will go un noticed and then this becomes the norm.
When I was an apprentice/tradesman at a Holden dealership we used to fit all types of accessories from floor mats all the way to air con systems. we would literally pull a brand new car to bits on a daily basis. Every vehicle was checked by the service manager prior to handover back to the sales department. It was then double checked by the sales guys prior to delivery.
These days you get some knuckle dragger with his 149 piece supercrap toolset fitting accessories, thinking about how many beers he's gunna smash down after work!
As stated ARB do make some awesome gear along with their competitors. Trick is to buy it and fit it yourself (im one of the lucky ones with the appropriate skills). Only then will you get a decent job done with some pride of workmanship.
End of nightshift - rant over!

Daniel,
It's disappointing to hear of another $hit job done by ARB (TJM are no different). I had my air lockers installed at Dandenong. They had my car for three days as they couldnt get the seal right in the front diff.
Several months later, I took it too Kilsyth to fix the front diff as oil was spraying out of the solanoid at the compressor. To access the diff, they had to remove my newly installed bash plates; when they reinstated the bash plates, they used rattle guns and broke the nuts inside the chassis. ARB denied it and refused to help fix the problem.
Again, several months later on Fraser Island, the front diff seal $hit itself again with more oil sprayed over the engine bay. Took the car to Maroochydore. The guys there were awesome and fixed the front diff.
Several months later, the rear diff seal $hit itself. Took the car to Albion. Picked the car up two days later and got 10km down the road and it started making all sorts of noises. Removed the inspection plug and found no oil in the diff! To the stores credit, they did a good job at fixing the problem.
In my opinion, buy the parts and fit them yourself or use a trusted mechanic. ARB and TJM have been having these probelms for many years are they are well aware. Nothing has changed thus far and I don't expect anything to change in the future. I'm not suggesting that all mechanics can be trusted either.2012 GXL Prado D4D
