    The man is a comedian...

As much as it pains me to say this, I saw a new Kakadu on the road today in pearl white and I think it is an improvement on the original 150...

Toyota model upgrade stands for headlights, grill and tail lights.
The 200 got them, hilux got them, and now prado.
At least it doesn't look like the new Nissan Pathfinder!!!!!

Oh my, please don't buy a genuine "bullbar" for the new Prado. Even uglier than the old style 150. Good luck after market with one.
    - No new increase in power on the oil burner engine.
    - Towing capacity still way below rivals.
    - Still a 5 speed auto
Still relying on brand to keep in front of rivals rather than out do them with better bits.
    Hopefully it grows on us.

Just came back from a dealer today, confirmed both vx and kaka got new improved KDSS, but they dont seem to have the knowledge or details of how is the improvements, just "better". Been offered 63k for GXL, and mid70k for the vx, which i take that as around 75k.
Also he said all the toyota gps program staff has been redesigned, and got extra air-con vents now blowing to the 2nd row seat, from vents under the 1st row seat? Thats interesting. The interior leather and trim all darker than before, and vx got wooden look interior too.

Happy to stand corrected bit i think the kaka has new flasher version of KDSS with potentially flasher new name and the VX just the old KDSS.

My understanding of KDSS (happy to be corrected by those in the know)....

KDSS is a passive hydraulic system that works on the stabiliser bars, not the suspension as such.

During off road use it allows the stabiliser bars to disengage allowing maximum articulation.

It also gives a more stable/flatter ride on road, mostly beneficial when towing.

I can't see why they wouldn't, my 2009 Kakadu has airbags in the rear suspension setup. My shocks have sport and comfort settings from inside the cabin, it works by adjusting the valving on the shocks via an electronic link/control.

    Found this:http://ask.cars.com/2008/10/what-is-an-adap.html

KDSS is an entirely different beast (active suspension?), relying on accumulators/or actuators to raise the suspension or dampen the roll of the car out. Easy to see how the two could get confused though. KDSS has not been listed as DSS150 ^ mentions.
KDSS controls a hydraulic ram on one side of the sway bars, the other side is fixed. At least that's the way it works on my Kaka.

The adaptive suspension in the rear is not KDSS, it appears Toyota haven't listed KDSS in the specs
