  • I've just recently added a TJM steel bull bar so I would have though the front would have drooped a bit.

Through Vic the roads were pretty bumpy, which meant the self levelling lights were all over the place. Dropping them 3 degrees won't make any difference.

There were a lot of cows on the road from Darwin down to Alice but from Alice to Melbs there was nothing.

Nothing expensive speakers. I had 6x9 3way kenwood 60rms n 6.5" pioneer 50 rms sitting in garage. Have to work out with the spacers. For front i used spacers from camery 2006 and for rear spacers used from territory. They were not 100% lined up with factory speaker mouting screw so have to make couple of extra holes. But fits good. Did some sound deading as well. I am pretty happy with result. Was thinking to put aftermarket amp not now. Next is dash n cargo speakers n subwoofer.

But the Kakadu comes with a subwoofer already, JBL I believe. I have not seen any need to change the factory gear.

Thats right it does come with JBL sub. All speakers are JBL too but quality wise they are ok i realised after replacing them. Sub May be the same. Replaced the dash speakers with rockford punch 4" today n it does make a difference.

                    • If the dash speaker had more bass, I think the whole system would have more 'presence'. There is nothing wrong with the 14 speaker system when the volume is right up, but I find at lower volumes, it does lack somehow. It's like the subwoofer comes in much too late as volume goes up.

                      • You know you can adjust the balance and subwoofer in the audio settings right? When I first got our Kakadu I found it too heavy on the bass, it was giving me a headache. Adjusted the woofer down and it's all good now.

                        • For dash speakers there are only 3.5" from factory but most of us who changed them with 4". You can't get more bass from them they are little. They are more for mid. After doing the change over now the volume sits at 15-17 alone and with wife n kid 8-10. Music sound good n can enjoy the 5.1 channel effect.

                          • Installed Brembo Brake Pads to the Front and Rear of the Kakadu, and they Definitely feel Firmer and more Responsive.

                              • Changed engine oil, both diff oils and the fuel filter near the fuel tank. Then gave the bonnet a bit of a going over with cut and polish :-)
