Here are some close ups of some new features on the 2010 FJ Cruiser. The body is the same, so I focused on the differences in the engine bay & on the 4.0l petrol engine.
Here is the new color - ARMY Green (The FJ 40 was actually built for the US Army as the BJ-25 to be used in the Korean Campaign because the Jeep was unable to navigate the rough Korean terrain.)
Here is a close up of the new 4.0L engine. As you can see it has a DOHC and the oil filter has been moved to a cartridge filter and is at the bottom of the engine. Also note the new redesigned dual sealed bearings. The intake cover & pre-cleaner may also be the same.
Here is probably one of the biggest points to compare. Note the Prado washer tank, the new welded on dual battery tray & remote PS reservoir.
