Looks like they are going the same path as Nissan and Mitsubishi offering 2.5 Diesel .

Wonder what this means for Aussie market ? Sounds like a good motor for the Rav4 or Kluger ?
Bring on a V6Tdi for the Prado !

The 2.5D4D has been available overseas for many years (same as the Mitsubishi for that matter) - in many markets it is the only engine option!

All this talk of a V6 D4D is just that for us. As long as the 4cyl D4D continues to pass emissions testing it will stay here - much like the old 1kd did for many years when the D4D was on sale overseas for years beforehand.

Only a failure to pass emissions would make them spend the money to introduce new technology.

I just filled up a 4 gig memory stick and tried it in my new VX. Works brilliantly and was able to get a album name, track name or artist name by pushing the text button. I'll get an 8 gig stick as you suggested and be able to get my entire CD collection on it. Good to get some use out of my CDs which have been gathering dust since I got into music DVDs on my home surround sound system. Being able to play them all in the car is sensational.

Eugene's experience with no text displayed would possibly be using the ID3 tags in the MP3s as the source and these may not have been populated. These can be edited at a later stage with a tool such as Helium 2009 or cheaper options. Most rippers will populate the tag automatically by determining the CD you are using and looking up the tag data off a web database.

Like your avatar Nick! Silverton .... what a great spot. One of the reasons that prompted us to get a 4WD was to explore that area further, particularly the Lake Mungo National Park. When we were last there we were in a Commodore S Pack with sports suspension ..... not much fun on some of those dirt tracks up there.

Sad to say but can't see this for a long time now with the 3L D4D getting a small power increase in Europe later in the year.
