Roochard I sort of agree with you but the engine is no where near 90% of its capacity. There is definitely lots left but the engine management isn't sophisticated enough to wring the engines neck and I certainly wouldn't be doing it with a generic add on chip supplementing a generic factory tune.

I've driven it and it goes performs really well above standard. A better option than chipping is to have the ECU re-flashed, as the re-tune actively works with the factory ECU parametres and takes advantages of the superior factory safeguards. However, re-flashing is a tad more expensive.

Just so you are in the loop FROM THE HORSES MOUTH ... not hearsay ... the start issues with ONLY the PRADO and 70 Series has been corrected outback.
As people on here state, those that ACTUALLY had used the Chip It brand ... not just hearsay ... the Chip works well. For those that had issues (a small number) the Chip was swapped out.
However, that was before. Now there is no issue.
It gets better power, is cheaper and has ACTIVE EGT Control to safe guard the engine. You can take that to the bank.
Speak to those that ARE customers ... they are very happy

I can plug and unplug mine in about 5 mins flat.
You don't need a mechanic to plug it in

I'm jealous of those with a Audi 3.0TDI engine, 200 kW and 600Nm of torque, let alone the 4.2 V8 or the 6.0 V12.
The other competitor Disco 3.0 has 180kW and 600Nm (respectively 155kW in the detuned version).
Why would the D4D engine be at 90% of its capacity? We're not in 1970 where a Merc 2.0D had 60 horsepower.
I want to overtake safely or be able to maintain your speed at a hill. That's not much to do with having a 4wd for a race horse.2010 Kakadu.
