Mmm.......getting something repaired or replaced under warranty?

Go direct to Bilstein Sydney that's probably where Cal would send them.

At least you got an invoice I presume, after two emails requesting one and a phone conversation..... NOTHING.

Cal sent me three sets of front springs - the third set for a Prado with Bar, winch, batteries etc. and they now sitting in my garage ready for sale...

So I think the rant is well and truly justified.

Now I just need to take the rear springs out, take some messurements, probably another $200 later with Donbinson and I'll have the rear sorted as well with another set of coils to get rid of.
    Hey Zero,
What was the part number for the springs you ended up getting from Dobinsons?

And I think my point about coming onto a forum like this with statements\claims etc. has been proven - and little lesson Cal himself learnt here just a week or two ago on the Cal\Bilstien vs. Superior\Amada thred :-)

bottom line is essentially the money I now spend on two sets of springs from dobinsons to get me sorted is far cheaper than the cost and time of sending it all back and starting over...

It sure is mate, nothing to hide here and I have taken care to keep everything fact based that can be backed up with emails etc. if required... This way there is no re-course on me for defemation of character or anything like that, just in case... You'd have to be iether very brave or very stupid to hit a public forum like this with a load of rubbish as it wouldnt take long before you got smoked out I'd say.

It's taken over 3 weeks and I still don't have a $55 refund... the energy I'd be wasting trying to get a refund for spring is not something I am excited about... Like I said, I am done with this mob and cutting my losses...
Will however be spending the energy going on an all out viral Internet mission to warn as many people as I can on as many forums as I can about the experience I have had...

One thing I am 100% certain of is my the money I am out of pocket will be a drop in the ocean compared that what Cal will lose in sale once I'm done... and all because the chop can't be stuffed dealing with a customer they have cleared screwd by not listening and continually sending the wrong parts to..

    Game on...

Why not send those back as well for a refund, you have already gone to consumer affairs, throwing the springs on the list would recoup there actual value, not what someone is willing to pay for now second hand springs??

Has anybody out there had to return any parts under warranty, if so what and how was your experience?

Have contacted Consumer Affairs and the only thing I have asked for is the help me to get the refund for the airbag spacers I sent back. Not much but It freaks me out that they agreed to take them back and refund me but have simply refused to do so and now ignore my calls and emails.

And yes - if I had the time and money to make the trip up to the workshop and have a few choice words I would. Instead I'll look forward to the chance that one day I might see them show or something...

So Where I am at is I have made the decision that I am not wasting any more time on dealing with a company that is full of hot air and blatant rubbish (as has been seen from the owner himself on this and the other thread), cutting my loss's and will sort out the rest my self.

Basically I am just left with a rear end slightly to low and front end to high. Tackling the Front end first I spoke to Dodinson's this morning and they have same day'd a set of coils to me that I will fit this evening that hopefully will be good and then tackle the rear next week.

Dobinson's confirmed that they in fact supply Cal's coil's (Cal paint them black) and the set they sent me were for a heavily load vehicle even after "God alone" knows how many times I have told them.... No Bar, No Winch etc. etc.

I also know now the coils I do have and will try to sell them to recoup some cash.
