Mmmmm........ Just read through this saga.
Negative feedback can go a long way with social media. CalOffroad should be concerned about this!
Just sorting the issue out free of charge, would have been cheap! in the long run. How many people that read this will now go to CalOffroad?

Just so that you all know - Even after chatting to my bank and consumer affairs - and I know consumer affairs have contacted CalOffroad... I have yet to get the refund they owe me for the Airbag Spacers I sent back to them that they agreed to refund me for...
So you can now see why I was not prepaired to send stuff back as I had fear'd that this would happen and that I have an endless battle trying to get my money back...
BTW - I have a set of Dobinsons C59-302 front springs for sale if anyone is interested - they are new and been painted Black by CalOffroad

Hey Matt, bend that back away, remove the bolt and straighten up the washer back to the shape it should be. When the suspension moves that is another source of possible noise not to mention the misshaped washer will prematurely wear the lower bushes

When you buy stone gaurds get the ones that cover the bottom bolt. I bought some unseen to replace my original ARB ones but they were the short ones. Reused the old ones.

Hey zero,Originally posted by zerosecta View PostJust forked out $240 (40 for same day dellivery) for a set of front springs from Dobinsons and installed them this evening - Car is now sitting at a cool 825ish at the front.... Exactly where it should be.... And guess what, I asked for a medium spring for a car that has no weight on the front and they sent me the right thing first time round....
What is your droop now with the 825mm ride height? Somewhere around 60mm?
Best
Mark

As long as you persist with Cal stuff and not pursue a legal avenue they win.
I would go all out on them on principal alone!!
That would be more productive than an internet campaign.
Also would show previous problems for the next guy they burn when he has to go down the same path.

The tell tale between the two is that the better version (1) has a press fit lower bush that lasts longer etc. - the less desireable version (2) has a split hour glass type lower bush. Also version (1) apparently is also suppied with a stone gaurd.
Guess what version came with my kit from CalOffroad ?
Answer: (2)
Does anyone know if the stone guards for the rear shocks can be bought seperatly?
Hi Zero, i used to have an enormous section up on this before my shopfront was removed from here for reasons unknown.
There are even 2 different types of U.S Bilsteins.
One is way too soft for aus conditions & the other one is worse.
One has a crimped over end & is not rebuildable at all.

Yip, warranty is a bummer as I certanly won't be going back to Cal... Guess If I do have any issues with the Shocks or Struts I'll simply deal directly with Bilstien as I have done already and they seemed to be quite happy to assist, same for Dobinsons. Shared my experiance with them and to say they are dissapointed that thier products are involved in this would be an understatement.
