Hello all,
I am new to Prado Point and new to owning a Prado.
I recently purchased the 2017 Kakadu and subsequently fitted it out with some accessories.
Some of which include a bulbar, winch and dual batteries. Now my front end has sagged and I only have 18cm clearance off the ground.
I have tried all over Adelaide to find a lift kit or stronger suspension for the front end but so far I have had no luck.
Please if anyone can help? So far I have been told no one will touch it due to the suspension currently on there.
Thanks in advance.

Correct they are fairly straight forward but next to NO ONE wants to touch them
The sticky is to list state by state company's and shops that will actually do Kakadu lift kits
Spacing out the sensors on Std length bags to achieve a 2" lift is not good practice for a fair few reasons best get the correct length bags and do it properly, incorrect bleeding of KDSS system can cost $$$$
Rear shock length is very important Airbag man state a shock with an open length no longer than 625mm is required, this is why my Fox Kit was refunded as the rear shocks exceeded this open lengthLast edited by Phs; 21-06-2017, 11:01 PM.

Kakadu lifts are easy and way over thought.Originally posted by Phs View PostThere should definetly be a sticky with avalible Kakadu lifts
A lot of threads I'd be happy to add who has done and will
Do kak lifts in vic. It only took me 6 months of research and 98% of businesses saying it can't be done.
Personally I think the MMR gear seems good but can't comment first hand
Springs need to suit KDSS. (OME, Dobinsons, Kings, Lovell's)
Rear airbags have to be airbag mans or trick std bag sensors.
Pick any Shocks n Struts you like...
And your done !
That Easy....
Bleeding the KDSS just requires level ground. Half hour little bit off jumping and tighten screw up.
Lol there's ya Sticky !!

Guest repliedI'd be reading photo prado' comments about how his brand new dobinson MRR failed after 5000 kms on his trip last few weeks before parting with my hard earnt bucks.

Dobinsons Dandenong were awesome when I ordered my kit. I am in Karratha WA & they suggested using the WA dealer but after calling them I felt the level of support I got from Dandenong was worth the extra shopping costs.
Lift kit is now fitted & I am very happy.

I have the C59-726 on my Kakadu as they said they were the ones suitable for KDSS and up to 100kg of accessories. I wouldn't say they are too firm but they did give quite a lift originally, it has settled some now and still seems OK. #### may chime in as I'm sure he will have fitted more Kakadus since mine.Originally posted by BWB View PostI phoned Dobinsons and told them about the accessories that I was fitting as I thought I would need C59-726 but the fellow at Dobinsons said they were to firm and he recommended the 724.
What's other people's thoughts on this and if the Dobinsons are good or is there other options?

That's one of many reasons why we use & reccomend DOBINSONS.

Hi mate,
The broken spring is an automatic warranty problem for Dobinson & they would replace it without question.
unfortunately the bent strut if it is bent would be your problem. [hard to say till you remove it]
Dobinson would not accept resulting damage.
Honestly I would replace the lot with an aftermarket Dobinson/ Bilstein package.
the KDSS still works with aftermarket gear but the electronic adjustment will not work.
Cheers
