The only way to get extra droop is to buy the adjustable shock which has a canister" and Hello Paul
This kit is designed for 2" lift which is legal.

If you are going higher than this , you will need to go to an
adjustable damper, which allows the longer stroke.
We have used this combination in many Prado 150's which have
travelled all throughout Australia including Central Australia
    without any issues.

My earlier response to them was "The rear springs I have put in were for a 2 inch lift with less than 100kg on board, my message clearly detailed that that the lift is 60mm,just over 2 inches. My problem is I only have 55 mm of downward travel in the rear, and the shocks seem to be topping out over speed bumps. If you don't think this is a problem let me know.

SO, I still think there is something wrong, 55mm just does not seem enough, which got me thinking on the way home, could the rear shock have been installed incorrectly?? Checked my old shocks and they have a washer, rubber spacer sitting on top, does this go under the shock tower mount or on top? If it goes under and the new shocks didnt come with this spacer this would explain the limited travel.
    Hey wheelan,

Yes, there is something wrong, you have a 585mm shock which is miles too short for the lift you have.

Your limited travel is because of the shock, spacers at the top bushes can only change this by a limited amount.

Simply put, DMS should not be selling this kit for a lifted vehicle. They should know better if they know anything at all about suspension.

Personally, I would be asking for my money back. Much better options out there for your hard earnt bucks.

From below, bad shot, looks like top of shock is right up there

I need to ask DMS what it is supposed to have. I just had a friend drop by with a 120 and OME shocks. He had about a 20 mm spacer underneath the chassis mount to the top of the shock body.

        Hey,

Ok they've used after market urethane bushes. It's unlikely they've missed the bottom bush, they've just covered it with the boot and cable tied over it.

You could just snip the cable tie and pull the boot down to see what's there! ...just cable tie it back when you're done.

Avoid using spacers, you just drop the shaft down and increase the closed length and then you have bumpstop issues.

I ended up with the 352/327 + Bilstein combo from Zordo and I absolutely love it.
My rear is empty and front only has an alloy bar and dual batteries so it is pretty firm on the road but I wouldn't say it's rough.
Once a little bit of weight is added it's as comfortable as a limo.
