Ok so I think I've found the problem of wear on the outside only of my tyres.
For any one else who may have the same issue, it seems to be a camber issue. More specifically a "positive camber" from my 2" lift which means the wheels are tilted outwards slightly, hence causing prematiure wear on the outside of the tyres.
Will contact ARB at a future date and discuss adjusting camber correction pin by a couple of degrees towards a negative camber.
Cheers Gaz[B]Cheers Gary[B]

The person who installed the lift didn't do a front end alignment and adjust the camber etc?HKB Electronics, manufacturer of the Alternator Voltage Booster, Silver 2008 D4D,Lifted,Underbody protection, Alternator Voltage Booster, Tiger Z winch, Lightforce DL, Air Horns, Tanami Drawers, Drop down fridge slide, Outback cargo barriers, Rotronics dual Battery system, Polaris GPS, HF/UHF/VHF, Radio speaker combiner, Long ranger water tank, Diff breathers, Inverter, Snorkel and others

Well it's been another 8 months on since my last post about the wear on the outside of the Coopers tyres. I had the camber issue looked at and the tyres turned around on the rims. But that is no longer my main concern as a few months ago cracks have begun appearing on each sidewall just above the bead. So I can only assume that the new u beaut strengthened sidewalls have made the carcass so stiff that when you let the tyres down to go off road they no longer flex evenly along the side wall but mainly at the weakest point, being just above the bead.
I've done some reading and it looks like this is a common thing now with these tyres (Coopers st maxx), and that it is also happening with the new BFG's too.
looks like it's now down to Mickey Thompson atz p3. I've tried Mr Coopers, lord knows I've tried.....[B]Cheers Gary[B]

i haven't had this issues, tyres are around three years old, around 30000km and a lot of that at low pressures ie 26PSI and lower. Have also read
of a different brand with same issue but there was some debate that maybe wrong bead profile was used.HKB Electronics, manufacturer of the Alternator Voltage Booster, Silver 2008 D4D,Lifted,Underbody protection, Alternator Voltage Booster, Tiger Z winch, Lightforce DL, Air Horns, Tanami Drawers, Drop down fridge slide, Outback cargo barriers, Rotronics dual Battery system, Polaris GPS, HF/UHF/VHF, Radio speaker combiner, Long ranger water tank, Diff breathers, Inverter, Snorkel and others

Here's a couple of pics for you. Haven't bothered with Coopers because I now what they'll say. Booked in for a new set of Mickey Thompson ATZ P3's. Will see how they go.......

The whole tyre pressure debate is a big one,
so according to coopers they recommended the 6psi rule for LT 4wd tyres ( on road use )
just an example using this rule on our 2.8 prado setup with all the typical accessories bull bar, winch, dual batts, underbody protection they are 28 psi cold
https://www.coopertires.com.au/media...-pressures.pdf
I usually drop straight to 18psi once in low range
