    Re: weird noice

Sounds like alternator whine. Was the headunit recently installed? It could be due to an earthing problem from the installation.

If the power cables and the RCA leads for amp are run close to each other this can cause a problem similar to what you have, it often makes it sound like you have a supercharger whine.

        Hi there,

this could be an earthing issue, I never use the stock earth on head units. They often induse noise, and they are usually thin and long. Also if your head unit uses more power than the stock unit the earth should be bypassed, for something thicker and solidly earthed.

        Kind regards

          Re: Radio audio distortion

Firstly narrow it down a bit, is the noise there when the engine and all accessories ie
          inverter, fridge etc are unplugged?

What does the distortion sound like, is it static ie a tick tick sound, a whine or distorted sound?

When you say it gets worse with throttle do you mean it speeds up or just gets louder?

If it has a cd does it do it with a cd playing?

Has it always been there or just started?

          Cheers
