So I have high idle problems with my 1996 V6.
There is a bit of side play in the butterfly shaft and the dashpot/stop linkage seems to resist the final few mm of closure as well.
I just bought a throttle body from a 2001 wreck and it does not have the dashpot and extra linkage.
The question I have is whether the missing dashpot will cause a harsher butterfly closing and result in a revs undershoot and severe leanup?
Not sure if the later 2001 ecu somehow adjusts for this snap closure.
Cheers.
