Looks like I am not getting as good as Leethal's power but I will need to save up a bit more before I put a blower on. Sounds like a lot of fun though Leethal. Filled up tonight and even with all the 4x4ing we did on the weekend and the bit of fun I have been having pulling people off at the lights the fuel economy is 15L/100km. Ill try and take it a bit easier this tank and see what happens. I bought the headers for $400 from a exhaust importer here in Vic and the exhaust was used as a template.

Well be hard pretty hard to compete with the supercharger I’m sure, but sounds like you have definitely made some good power gains, and increased the fuel efficiency if you can cane it and still get 15l/km.
Might look at doing the exhaust first, as that needs to be done anyway, and then save up for the chip.

        Cheers

This results in 131 awkw and lots of low down torque
Fuel economy wise I get 15 l/100K on trips, cruising any where between 80 to 110 km/hr fully loaded with 265/75 MTR's.
Towing a camper or the boat I get 19l/100km, again constant from 80 -110 km/hr

The blower is great but extractors and Unichip give a good return for the dollars.

          Hey Lee,
What process did you have to go through to make the supercharger legal? Have you managed to get it insured? I've wanted to put a blower on but have been put off by the potential of not being road legal or uninsurable. Be interested to hear what you had to and who installed the blower and what the engineering process was for making it legal. Being a Queenslander, the process would be quite relevant to me.
          Thanks,
          Alex

              Hi Alex,

I installed the blower myself a couple of years ago now. At the time I was able to discuss the installation with QLD Transport and as the kit was a performance option from Toyota for the 3.4 V6 was able to get it signed off without certification. Very much a case of getting someone in the right mood at the right time. I think it will be a bit harder now as it is not a local option. Insurance wise Shannons were okay with the supercharger installation as well as all other mods.
As I understand it at the moment, the main issue would be "will the power increase be greater than 20%" and whether the engine comforms with emission regs. The emission regs is easy, keeping below the 20% increase (Trust me ). Below 20% and an manufacturer option does not need certification under the new regulations, convincing them that a USA option is covered by that is the hard part now
