Question for you.
What's the reason behind having a slot?
The shackle pin either fits or it doesn't. Surely a round hole is all that's needed and may be cheaper. More meat around the hole = strength. If it has to be a slot then I'd rather it was angled like Lukeys. Having a vertical slot must weaken the front pulling face.
Another thought. If you extend the nose like these -
that would avoid skinned knuckles from the mounting bolt heads.
Note the increased meat at the front.
Food for thought...Malcom

The Roo.
By the looks, junkie's design would be fine with an ARB bar but not with an Alloy/OEM bar. I'm pretty sure there's a few threads documenting the problems faced by 90 series owners with alloy bars.Declan: 1997 GXL 4.5 Auto 80 series on LPG, ARB bullbar, 2" OME lift, 32" MTZ, GME UHF, rear ARB locker, Kaymar spare wheel carrier

They're very photogenic when stranded
I'd take a punt on these if they weren't so expensive although they are cheaper on the website - http://www.roadrunneroffroad.com.au/...ml#producttabs
I find it hard to justify $129 against Lukey's $95 for a bit of folded 10mm plate. Cams included free postage, don't know about Lukey's
I do like the extended nose on Cams though.
Who is interested in buying some of the yellow ones sight unseen?
I've emailed Cam regarding some sort of a group buy so it might be worth the effort to file a mm or so from one hole.Malcom

For your information the bolts are 12mm 8.8s on our vehicles that have bull bars. If they do fit I would follow and buy a set. Disclaimer : I didn't find this company, Malcom did and he is really good at finding things like this. Malcom also found a company, DNA 4WD, that does the Brown Davis bash plates for $351.00 which I have purchased one from them, still in the transport stage at the moment.

The bolt holes are quite a bit larger than the 90 bolts which allows these numbers.
Cam will give us a discount but needs numbers and delivery locations. Before I make this a group buy, I need an indication of interest please...
Note: You will have to file the middle mounting hole into a bit of a slot to make it fit.
So who is in?Malcom

The bolt holes in the 100 plates are way bigger than the 90 hook holes so there's several mm gained there already.
If you check the dimensions given in the web diagram and compare those to the actual 90 hooks, there's about 1.5mm to be filed out of the plate (in theory). This is RoadRunners drawing and thats the plates we are talking about so Mods, please don't delete...

Cheers Matt
Are you keeping to your original design or taking the comments above into consideration?
I'm happy to wait for yours if they are going to be what we want?Malcom

Hi Malcom,
I have changed the design a little bit, taking into account some of the comments. The only change that I have made is where the D Shackle is mounted there is no slot. It has a hole instead so that it has its maximum strength. However I'm designing one so that the actual shackle can go through like the ones with the slots i'm also looking at one other design which should be up late tonight or tomorrow morning.
