Re: Help Help I need information about D4D into 90 series prado
G,day Fellas !!
Well guess who back in Town .......... Obviously Pradofreak ! sighted Just thought I run down to the Pub with another Yarn but hell cant avoid raising the D4D in a 90 series Topic
well its now been what just over 2 years since I did the D4D modification into the 90 series and gotta say still have a grin from ear to ear till a about 6 months ago I started having some serious lost of power and Gradually got Worst when I was coming from from Tassie to Sydney - During the entire return trip I try to figure out the possible issues such as fuel filter , injectors , fuel pumps and so on after thinking of many of the logic possibilities I started running out of options and took my car sheepishly to the Mechanic , Great News The mechanic could,nt work it out so of to Toyota......... more GREAT news they say WOW this is impressive mod but Could,nt work out why I had power loss , this started to get frustrating , I want my POWER I love the amazing take off and boost etc well Great news I found the Problem - Its hilarious , The problem was with the Accerlator , as I put a 120 series accelerator in , it required to be screw into the firewall panel anyway one of the screws at the base has made its way loose which was preventing the accerlator to achieve full travel , Why didnt I see that in the first place sighted !! anyway Now I,m happy as ...mmmmm Dunno I,m happy Happy since I fixed the accelerator Mount There seems more power than ever ( I accidentially did a 4 wheel drift with plenty of power to play with ) Oh I should say Yeah it was WET (Guess that was kinda cheating lol ) wink wink
The fuel consumption is still giving a fantastic results on averaging 9.3 Litres per 100k,s city driving , the best I had on Highway driving was 8.9 Litres / 100 Ks
If anyone wants to join the 90 series D4D club just drop a line can do my best with advice and so on !!
Keep it up and have a Good Weekender
