    Totally agree Rouge,

This is a fantastic forum, and the amount of help and info that is shared is fantastic, as I'm quite a novice at the 4wd scene, this site and you guys are invaluable!

    Thanks again all

    Cheers

      Hi Ghost
I would be wrapped with this info too, but! (sorry). Definatly not knocking your mate, but here is my experience,
Away at the moment so get some photes when i get back.
You can read in my previous post how my hooks are attached, very similar to the existing loops. I have only had my car snatched twice (Maxtrax rock! ) both times with the bridle setup. This has bent those two brackets inwards! (Only just picked up on it after reading this forum!) Doesnt seamed to have upset the bull bar, maybe because there is other supports there (collision or roo wise dont know???). Just food for thought, personally I'm not to upset about it, hence dont mind doing a bit of cutting to change it.
Off one hook probably no worries. (cost of bent brackets to cost of twisted chassis?? but always dig first)

        Hi Danrex,

No dramas at all mate, appreciate the extra info, after this bomb shell might pay to still get a hold of lukey to see what he may have on offer  just to be on the safe side.

        Cheers

Sorry Ghost, can't help there though a weekend at the Panther's club would be nice ... bit of aqua golf :P Besides, I'm guessing you want someone with the factory bar to donate their time.

                    Thanks Rougue,

Yea probably would be better with someone with a factory bar, but if no one is close by might have to try and work something out.... ROAD TRIP

haha dont think its hijacking it , but all valid points and i think i should be ablke to mount the recovery points on both side where the bolts for bullbar go into chassis might just need longer bolts would take pics but cant seem to figure out how to make pics smaller to load onto here :S

                          Re: recovery points

in my car, under the bull bar, it already has 2 recovery hook in both left and right side. Those one are made of steel with the thickness of about 10mm, flat in shape, and they are connected with the chassis following the order:

chassis -> bullbar -> recovery hook.

There are two holes that are used with 14mm screws to keep both bullbar and the hook there very tight.

Do you bros think that those hooks are good enough to use for my car?

Here is a couple of picks of what a bridle and snatch setup can do to these factory bars!
                              Front R/H/S

The annoying bracket we have been talking about. Looks good at this angle!

Same bracket different angle! Actually looks worse in photo, I cant get my little finger in that gap.

Hope these pics help with this thread.

Thanks Danrex  ... Wow for a solid looking piece of steel, it must be pretty soft...

Still need someone near lukeys to drop in with their truck, so he can do some measurments etc..

If anyone is close by with the same set up and is willing to it would be great.
