Dear Joolia, as we know, you asked us to report suspicious activity, well I am. I have read on the internet that a radical group from SEQLD. I think that stands for Special El Quada Land Division and they will be making an insurgent move into our convict free borders of South Australia.

We plan to conteract there large numbers with our own elite Prado troops, but theirs are an experienced force having vast experience at GTG or "Got-To-Gettem" manouvres, while our advantage is that of fresh troops. I understand that they will be honing their manouvres on the way down!

While we believe our equipment is of comparable quality and advancement, it is anyone's guess as to who will be left standing.

I have been thinking about this...

Folks have different departure dates though we all have the same planned arrival date (27-Sep). The pick of places to spend an extra day (longer if time permitted) is around Innamincka and Arkaroola. Given this, I reckon they make great recon locations.

The (battle) plan... with 3 waves.

The first wave will spend two nights at Innamincka (23rd & 24th). The second wave will meet up with the advance party at Innamincka and spend one night (24th). The first two waves combine and head South for Arkaroola Village (25th). The 3rd wave might arrive via the Eastern flank to meet us at Arkaroola Village (25th & 26th). Now with a full batallion of well-rested gentlepersons and fun-seekers, we undertake the final assault into Bendleby Ranges on the 27-Sep. Party on!

Ok travellers, which wave would you choose?

            LFaR.

            G'day Matt,

I'm thinking of heading up to Longreach first before coming back down, so I will likely plan it to meet up with you guys at Thargomindah on the 22nd if that works in with your plans.

The plan for the assault on the GTG is looking good

                • Hi Matt and crew,
Andrew & myself plan to head off early on the 21st via Bourke, Thargo and meet up with yáll at Innamincka on the Sunday, or Monday if we get pressed for time.
I read recently on the latest SA Desert Parks bulletin that the Bore Track may still be closed and that the Coongie track may not be open again this year so these may have to be confirmed closer to the date and if so, a plan B devised.

Just a tip for camping at the Corner, find a campsite well away from the store, the bloody diesel generator runs well into the night and starts early in the morning

                        • LFaR, "Coongie Track – Closed due to floodwater. It is highly possible there will be no access for 2012" Is it time to discuss Plan B for the assault? Or are you ever the optimist? I'm sure Stewy wants to get his "new thing" all broken (in) before we get to the GTG. I was planning to head out with you from Nindigully on the Saturday morning. Will we head south for Lightning Ridge and the Darling instead now?

Bobsled, I don't believe my new Toy will even have had its first service by GTG time.
