    That sounds like a great idea Andrew. I hadn't heard of the falls.

    We are intending to do Port Arthur, Mount Wellington, and Strahan after the GTG, and who knows what else.

        Brodie and I are sailing on the 23rd of September.
        We will be heading to the first Bakery that makes Scallop Pies!

          Depending on where you are planing on picking up the rest of your family, the ETC Bakery at Elizabeth Town (on the way from the boat to Launceston) would be your best bet for a scallop pie.

          On a side note, there is also the Tasmania Scallop Pie Company http://tasmanianscalloppiecompany.com.au/ that you might be interested in while driving around the state.

              Hey guys. Although I've since sold my Prado and bought an FJ Cruiser, I still visit PradoPoint every now and then.

              I'm now part of the FJ Cruiser Club and we just did an 8 day trip of Tasmania. I've had a look at the PP15GTG itinerary and it seems like you guys are taking a similar route to us.

              I had a quick catch up with VKPrado in the chatroom some time ago and promised to share my trip report when I got back... so here it is:

                      Great write up and yes there are a few places that we will visit that are the same but there is also quite a few good ideas in the report for those looking to explore the state either before or after the GTG.

                        I seen there was only 8 spots left so I raced over and registered and transferred the cash looking forward to being apart of this event

                          If you guys are staying at the Weldborough Hotel camp grounds I'd strongly recommend: staying elsewhere, waking up early for a shower or bring a hot water unit. The camp facilities weren't made to cater for big groups.
