OK, a bit of a heads up on the dates.
We are thinking of moving it forward a week, after talking to places like ElQuestro etc, the earlier the better as it they start getting a lot of tour groups from June onwards.
Stay tuned, we'll lock in the dates in a week or two.
We are currently camped at a lookout above the Pentecost River, overlooking Home Valley stn.
Life is good!

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. We're pulling the kids out of school for it anyway, one more week won't hurt much. They'll probably learn more doing this with us than at school anyway.

From what I have read they are saying not to tow out to Steep Point so was thinking of camping back at Denham.

It is sand driving & a few small dunes, but I'd think you would pull a camper through it no dramas.
Could be a challenge, but on caution side, you may be better to avoid it. A day trip is still well worth it.

That is good to know. I still need to work on the time off work....... going to need at least 8 weeks....

I have a "must" friends wedding in Broome on the 20th.

Going to get familiar with the top end!

Yes, and a fair way in advance. The beach is normally booked well in advance, easier camping, more room.
The point is small with very limited areas to actually get a tent or camper trailer to fit.

Can be done as a looong day trip from Denham. Early start late finish. BUT Cape Peron (Peron homestead spa) is another beautiful spot out of Denham along with Monkey Mia.

Steep Point is one of the places we are looking at going after the GTG as we make our way south.

I will be keeping an eye on this one.
Never been higher than steep point/ Denham in the Prado.
If anyone is coming over the Nullarbor its well worth spending the time to go up the coast and drop in as there are some amazing spots.

My last GTG was the very first one.

Got into Broome yesterday, getting ready for http://www.thegibbchallenge.com.au .
We'll be on the Gibb on Sunday.

I'm in Kununurra from the 26th May this year then across to Broome and back to Kununurra with the Drive4Life folks, I'll keep an eye for Prado's look for Richoson white 150 with some kit 42AWD Qld plates.

Do it - this will be my second trip on the Gibb if we can make it. First was back in 2006. We loved it . . .

Definitely trying to. Spent a lot more time than I should have yesterday reading up on what to do up there and figuring out what tracks we'd take over and back. Thinking the Tanami back to Alice then doing a few days around there, then on to mt dare and take the Simpson desert back across to Queensland again.

Now all I've got to do is stop day dreaming and get working so we can afford to go.

We're really hoping to make this one too. It's been on my bucket list for a while

Do it - this will be my second trip on the Gibb if we can make it. First was back in 2006. We loved it - and I even proposed to the wife at Mitchell Falls. Got the ring in Kununurra at the end of the trip. Couldn't afford the pink diamonds though.
