Casey, go on the Geikie Gorge boat tour just out of Fitzroy Crossing, well worth it. The caravan park on the east side of Fitzroy River is a good park to stay in for the night.
Cheers Derek

Thanks to everyone (except one, who is dragging their feet!) for your payment of the camping fees. Once I get the final payment I can go ahead and confirm and pay for all our accommodation!
I've still go lots to do - hunting up more sponsors, filling your welcome bags with goodies, and getting the event shirts sorted so you can place your orders. I've been holding off on this, as the local supplier I'm looking at using has been swamped with back to school stuff, so hopefully I will get to sort this out late this week or early next!
As posted in Official Announcements, Ian and Lyn Sinclair from Sirens of Silence Charity will be joining us for an overnight camp at Windjana Gorge. They will have a little campfire presentation for us giving you all more insight in to what Sirens of Silence is all about. Ian & Lyn are based in Broome, so an easy drive out for them to spend some quality time in fabulous surrounds of the Gorge and a bit of education as well.

Yes VK the wet is looking good so far so we should be able to enjoy lots of watery adventures!!
REMINDER FOLKS - Your camping fees need to be paid by the 28th (that's Saturday week) so I can finalise the bookings. Just send us a quick email when you've done your deposit so I can keep a check on it. We will send you an acknowledgement once it has cleared.
We are expecting a few boxes of goodies from Inox in the next few weeks, so don't go buying too much in that way of stuff if you can help it. We will have plenty to hand to everyone at the start of the GTG.....just when those squeaks are becoming annoying!!
We are in the process of getting the costs sorted for the event shirts and other merchandise, so hopefully we can send that out to you all for ordering soon.
As some may know via the Facebook Group, we are looking at visiting the Hoochery - Famous Kimberley Rum Distillery, on our day in Kununurra for a tour. This tour will be the last official stop on a little day drive we've got planned. The drive will include a few waterfalls and quite a bit of scenery, a bit of 4wding and hopefully an iconic East Kimberley crossing.
This is an option for everyone when we hit Kununurra, don't feel obliged to join us if you have other things planned, like Bungle Bungle flights, Ord River tours etc.
All we need is a yes or no for the Hoochery Tour. It will cost $10 per head (I have yet to check on kids costs) and I will sort out how we are going to pay for that later. Tour starts at 2pm and takes about 45mins.
After that you have free time to explore more around Kununurra and do your shopping for the rest of the trip. Coles in Kununurra is open until 9pm. As we will be in no hurry to leave the next day, we plan to fuel up then and take care of any last minute business before we head off. Keep in mind that once we leave Kununurra the availability of mobile reception is next to nothing until Derby.
So plans are coming along and I hope everyone is well into there own planning too.

Looks like quite a bit of rain is falling across the whole area. Hopefully this means the gorges will be full and the waterfalls flowing when we get there for the GTG.

Wonder what was so important that they had to do that? The mind set of some people is just unbelievable.
