            Just dropped my rig off for 30thou service and while i was there walked through the yard. There were 4 D4D GXL white, black, silver and dark grey.

            Now with the wait on these things they could not have been sold as you would be pissed if it was just sitting there for others to look at :shock: .

            Could be worth a call to those waiting as i didn't have time to ask.

              Was just down at the local dealers yard here in Alice and the same thing, sitting in the yard not sold is the following:

              2 X V6 GXL's
              3X D4D GXL's 2 White, 1 Charcoal
              2 X D4D GX's both white.

              They also had a whole heap of GXL D4D's ready for delivery obviously to a government or mining operation. They were configured with Sov BB, IPF 900sx spotties and a twin wheel carrier K&N Strongarm rear bar which looks really nice on the Prado. I SOOOO want one of these.

                  I suspect a lot of these are also tied up with FaHCSIA and other agencies operating under the NT Emergency Intervention.

                  The twin wheel carrier appears to leave the edges of both wheels extending beyond the width of the vehicle???

                  I'm with rhs58 - I'll put my extra spare up top when needed.

                    Well I like the Strongarm bar, I was not taking the photos of the GT's but I would like a pair of Mickey Thompsons on there.

                    I like the step platform of the bar and I actually don't mind if the spares stick out a bit, extra protection from Britz campers. :lol:

                      Hi Guys,

                      I must have fluked things, I get my new Prado on Friday.

                      3 weeks from ordering it, can't wait but there goes any spare cash I have from now on.

                              Well our new car is apparently here and just clearing customs. Should be at the dealership tomorrow and hopefully ready for handover early next week. Finally!!! We ordered it in mid June and were promised delivery by end of September. Counting the days now.

                                There will be an added delay now due to the passing of the luxury car tax, all new imported vehicles now have to be re-assessed by some government body for compliance with the new rules. It could be up to a month before new vehicles can be released.
