Congrats Darren, I got a good deal but no car, so I know who the winner is! (Hint, it's not me) Did you get the dealer to get the fit out done at ARB etc? Thread drift ,but what's deal with the GVM label and the fit out?
Send a PM please if that's Ok so we dont clog the thread with off topic discussion.

Yes surely did. Ordered 10 June. Arrived at dealership 5 Oct. did the rounds of ARB. pedders. Then the tyre shop and I picked it up on 24 Oct. (GVM label took just over 3 weeks. Very happy. Dealer said I was pretty lucky as wait time has blown out to 7-9 months according to the dealer. But ironically they have a White VX sitting on the showroom floor that has been there for at least 4 weeks. It has plates on it so unsure if it’s a demo or a order that has fallen over. I think some of the bigger dealers in the metro area get better allocations but the downside is they are less likely to do amazing deals. So I probably didn’t get the best deal but very happy I’ve got my Prado. [/QUOTE]
That’s great news mate, it also gives me some hope that mine isn’t far off as well!

Hi Guys.
if anyone is interested. I had my Prado’s 1st inspection today at the Dealership. I was talking to the salesman that sold me my car and he said he has a Crystal White GXL which was canceled. It will be arriving in January. Dealer is Pennant Hills Toyota. ( Sydney). Salesman is Con.
Hope it helps someone. Cheers. Darren

Finally some good news. Got a call from my dealer today to say my Prado will be built next month for January delivery.
IF it is delivered then it will be 9 months.
I feel for the guys waiting for RAV4s or Cruisers. A mate went to a dealer a few days ago about a Cruiser and 2023 was suggested. The RAV hybrid is over 12 months apparently.
Thanks for the heads up Darren, if I'd not got the call today, I'd be onto them tomorrow.

Spoke to our dealer yesterday about the GX we ordered at the end of July. They advised production is scheduled for January with ETA being March. If you're looking for an update it could be worth giving them a call as I was told there are restrictions on what they're allowed to put in writing

I was advised my GXL has now been been built and will be at the dealer in the second week of January. I suspect yours will be on the same ship.

How's everyone's order times looking at the moment? I ordered a VX last week, my first ever Toyota. I haven't heard back from dealer with confirmation email but they're saying 4-6 months.
Additionally, has anyone heard/read about a possible tech change in Aug this year? Something to do with ADR 85/00 compliance (Side Pole Impact Performance). Details are scratchy but the update is mentioned toward the end of this article under updates lined up for 2022.
