Hi all.
Darren here. Currently in a 2001 90 Series Prado diesel. Came with ARB winch bar, 2” lift, 265/75 16 BFG All Terrains, dual batteries, drawer system, dog seive (cargo barrier) snorkel and uhf. Original clutch with 380,000km. Replaced the rear shocks so now it floats less. Gold coloured RV spec with tan interior. Commonly referred to by the family as “the guilded turd”

I stepped down from a Series 1 Y62, but it gets me around well enough

Just signed up, and haven't actually seen my Prado in the metal yet, but my wife arrives with it today.

Wishlist: New head unit (still got the original tape/cd player), reverse camera (maybe 360 degree camera), snorkel, 12 volt system, UHF, fridge, awning. Not sure what else yet!

It's a bit old and has a lot of kms, but the service book is complete, one owner and one mechanic it's entire life. We figured there's no point waiting and hoping used prices would drop, because how long do we wait? Probably not the 4wd that will take us around the country, but it's the one that'll teach us what we want and need, and get us out exploring.

Hey folks, new to the club...been lurking here for a week or two, and just bought a Prado! Found one in NSW and waiting on it to ship down to VIC.

This will be our tow vehicle for a yet-to-be-acquired caravan, along with (I hope) some light off-roading. Really looking forward to stepping through the rabbit hole!

New here, just bought my 1st Prado, a new MY21 Dusty Bronze GXL Auto. Has a Dobinson 3" lift with SuperPro UCA's and diff drop kit. Outback roller drawers installed as well as a cargo barrier, 265/70-17 Yokahama X-AT tyres on Monster Siege Rims. Has a dual battery set up and ARB Summit Bull Bar and recovery points. Stedi Sport LED light up the night. Have done 11,000 kms in 12 weeks already, and am very happy with my first Prado.

Grew up with a 90 and now have my very own 150. I was only ever gonna get a prado, just had to be a little more patient than i would have for a triton. Had it for almost a year but I've been using the forum a lot so thought it might be time to contribute.

- arb bullbar
- redarc and anderson
- piranha dual battery setup, completely rewired as of last week, properly (not dcdc but not fussed about that)
- uhf (also rewired)
- new motor 1 month after ownership due to a faulty inject installed at my first service (not my money, i call this winning)
- custom back floor with rear seats removed, my first project.

Wishlist:
- i know how capable this thing is in its current form so have no real plans for any more at the moment. maybe some drawers.

Favourite place to go is the victorian high country, travel wide and far but spend most of my time anywhere between Licola and Bright
