I dont have any decent torches to compare, apart from my HID Powabeam spotlight.....but will try and get a couple of decent pics and post up. But bit rainy, windy here for next day or 2 though.

Surefire, a bit expensive depending on which you get, but the damn things last forever

If you want a cheap option these are small and bright, use 18650 rechargeables and here is a 12v charger too

Mate, I had Ledlenser and swapped it up for the Wolf Eyes SniperII. Cost me about $180 but leaves all my other torches for dead. For its size and power, you really can't beat wolf eyes! I work outdoors at night and its my best tool

50 mins run time at high power is not the best.

Fido not yet, some mix up with the H7 clone so the shipping was held up, then sent a couple of days later on its own. Hopefully next week based on the EA4 experience.

Wow Steve, is that 2,500 Chinese lumens or real lumens? You would blind small marsupials with that thing if the lumens are real.

                    • Hey guys no idea about the EA8 because I haven't been in the office much this week. Guess not though.

Guilty of the same. This week was the old 347 impossible things before lunch and in and out of the office. It will be a surprise when it gets here.

                          • I bought one of these a few months back. (I do not know this seller, this is just a random listing with the right product)

                            http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Trustfire...0605e5d&_uhb=1

I cannot vouch for the actual brightness claim of 8500 Lms as I have no way to measure it, only to say that it is extremely bright. It is also pretty well made and has performed flawlessly. It does get warm when running it on high power for any length of time but to date this has not been anything to worry about. I was a little paranoid about lithium batteries from China or Hong Kong so I opted for a deal where it was just the torch then sourced the batteries and charger locally. On high it gets about an hour of burn time, which for me and the way it is being used is just fine.

                            • Oh BTW that shop "gotta go camping" which I started a closing down thread for has a fairly good selection of Led Lensers, if somebody knew what model they wanted they could get it at a good price from them i'd guess, they'd probably do a phone order & post it seeing as they are only small packages.
                              Just a thought.

                              • The EA8 arrived today. I followed up with the vendor last week and the shipping was a bit awry. Anyway will try to get some shots tonight. Nice solid unit.
