LED torch recommendations

Watched the below review last night for a small Lightforce LED torch. It runs off a single AA battery and looks like it packs some decent power for its size. It's fully waterproof also. Good value at $35 for a backup torch or one to keep in the car.

The EA8 is very impressive. Much stronger than the EA4.

What's the spread like MJ? Is the beam more focused than spread?

No that is what you get. There are 4 or 5 power settings ranging from virtually nothing to the maximum. It is as wide a spread as the EA4 but with more light everywhere.

MJ it must be like the sun being turned on. My ea4 arrived the other day and for it's size i'm very impressed with it's power. It just blows away the led lensers, they are like holding a candle up compared to the ea4. My led lenser head lamp is still a more handy unit for me though as I use it for tying fishing rigs & stuff on the boat at night. I'm glad I've got both though.

The EA8 is pretty good that is for sure. I bought the LED kit for the Maglight and it wasn't worth the trouble. Much better but if you are thinking about doing it the EA8 and others are better buys.

There are plenty of good cheap torches on ebay - just look for Ultrafire Cree T6. I have a few and they are all awesome.

As usual - started looking from EA4 and then SRT6 and finally got SRT7+2 batteries+charger. When I started the budget was only around 90 bucks. Final cost $185.
My first proper torch and pretty happy with the size and functions so far.

If you are in Sydney you could go and visit Kizlyar Knives in Seven Hills or look them up on-line. They sell torches too.
