I'd be interested, dicking around with gauges is doing my head in. Yes I know you need them when airing up and down but a TPMS would be great for monitoring while on the road or track.

For those who like to tinker and value add your purchases to justify it to the missus.... Seeing as this unit has the battery monitor, it would be great if you can fit a switch to monitor both the main and aux batteries. I'm wondering if a direct connection to both batteries will alleviate the discrepancy Steve found between the Tyredog and the Sidewinder monitor. If you need more numbers, I can post this on the FJCC forums too.

Can they do a good price on the standard tyredog monitor too?

Steve... I don't mind being part of the 13 at $280.00 all in (inc freight). Amts suggested putting it on the FJCC forums which is a great idea...just lacking time! He could then give you any numbers back? Maybe PP & FJCC shd collaborate more in the future to get better deals (co-operative)...I'm unsure of these retail threads!

Good on ya for having a deadline..one always needs structure in ya life!

The thread is already on FJCC.

Can you check on a price for the 5 wheel version? TD-1300A-X5. Someone has asked about it over at FJCC.

Jasen the ABR 6 tyre unit isn't bad, it's what I use. Shop around and you can get a better price.

I need one for my trailer, had a blow out recently no warning and it caused a lot of damage.

So the question is, to get a reliable signal from the trailer do you need a relay unit or will a single unit do the job?

The Tyredog needs the relay which means power. The system I bought doesn't need a relay for a normal trailer. It works well and the trailer can be disconnected to show just 4 tyres. I would have bought the Tyredogs except for the cost and the need to run power to the trailer.

I wrote about my research here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post402981 and the next page.

Jasen LOTS of places stock that system. I only bought from Derek because he had stock, cheaper elsewhere. Try custom car sound guys Autobarn too from mamery or google the brand and find the Oz distributor. I would have bought elsewhere except for stock.

^ I had the same feeling, I'm sort of sorry I put the initial ask out! I'm not overly bothered, I'd have gladly bought one but it was certainly not high priority. I believe you can get the Taiwanese copies for even less, so for some people it may still not be a big enough incentive??... Just trying to save some money for some peeps?? Out of interest how many FJCC boys/girls came on-board if any?? I think I might leave the 49$ discount..my dishwasher just blew also!!

Took a punt and ordered one of these on ebay from Taiwan today. It'll be interesting to see if they're the real thing. Here's the link for the seller if anyone is interested.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/130978497...84.m1439.l2649
