High tech isn't necessarily the problem. The real problem is that when things fail you are very limited on where you can get repairs and/or spares, particularly so when travelling through the more distant parts of this great country. No road-side assist, no RAC, no tow trucks.Dave

I have to agree that Toyota is a more reliable vehicle when compared to other makes..... but if u go to those "other vehicle make" forums u will read a different story.... At RioTinto Rail we use the GX Prado as the go to vehicle for the driving between Dampier and all the mines inland, the Rangers were a big mistake that we are happy didn't make it's way over to 7mile. The Prados cop a hiding and are still going which is more than what I can say about the more "basic" Troop Carriers they bought a couple of years ago.Originally posted by mackayvx View PostComment
