No it needs spaces, I think I'm going to weld some plate on it at a later date but it does sit hard against the front diff mounts brackets from the diff centre so it will most likely be fine. The roads up the cape will be a good test for the federals a mate with a gu ute and I will be running them so we will soon find out. Glen did you notice much improvement with the extractors?

lots of work to do after cape trip!
Timing belt due!
New hand brake shoes
the rear door latch has buggered up so it seems I may have to bite the bullet and order a new one from Toyota ($600 or more
)
A/C belt Idler pulley
Also replacing the Idler that the fan bolts to due to it having a small amount of movement!
Put a new brake in my winch when it turns up.
Done the LH CV on the track between Punsand bay and the tip. managed to get a second hand one up there for $150 and alot of what seemed to be unnecessary waiting.

All in all it was a good trip the new tires went well and most of the road were pretty good!
