Here is the new Redback Muffler :
I replaced my rear muffler yesterday as well, with a Berklee Straight by Mr Muffler in Sunmner Park
They had a cut open prado muffler there, I have some photos I will post. It was VERY restricitve
Anyway, the new straight through muffler, is just as quiet as the original, no drone, but I really notice it freed up the engine and revs a lot smoother. It definately feels stronger, maybe 5%-10% at a guess. Great value for money mod.
Cheers[B]Robert

I have been for a good drive this morning and I am happy. The inherent sway of the rear of the Prado is gone. I noticed this a lot with my 120 (even with the Polyairs) and the 150 was no different. From stock I noticed the back of the car would wallow about around round abouts etc. Once the 150 was lifted up with the tough dog kit, it was very evident at speed and about town generally. My recent 2500 km trip away was a good measure to understand the 'before' effects of the lift. Even my wife commented on the wallowing about while on the trip.
Superior engineering advertise the adjustable rear links for the 150. They are actually the front links for a Nissan Patrol front sway bar with a 50mm lift. I. Can't remember the part number for the kit, just call them and they will point you in the right direction ( i think part number for the kit is NISSBEXT2F ). The total cost is $205 delivered by courier and they were at my place in a few days from order. I think this mod is a winner and worth while for any lifted Prado. You just take a measurement between the sway bar and the lower control arm before the lift and adjust the new links to lower the sway bar down to the stock height or alittle below. My adjustment was just an estimation of how to set it up, but I had before measurements and adjusted accordingly.
After a few Kms, I reckon this is a top mod for anyone. I will really see some differences with the camper trailer on the back and shall report upon the difference in handling once I try it.Last edited by matt150; 06-05-2012, 02:38 PM.[CENTER][B][U]Matt

Hey Simon, there is plenty of room, I measured and then drilled the holes appropriately so that the lights didnt sit out past the front of the bar. They fit in neatly height wise as well. From what I can tell, the ARB and Ironman Bars are virtually identical in relation to dimensions and measurements. I have to be careful though that I dont draw any comparison between the two bars, even though to me they look amazingly similar, there are some on here that take great offence to any comparison being made.
Hey Matt, your truck is coming along great guns! I check in every few days and look up what you have done lately. Well after a few thousand kilometers with the Steinbauer unit fitted and the exhaust modified abit, I am pretty happy with my current set up. I have the fine adjustment screwed up to full (approx position 5 according to Steinbauer). I have tried three and four, not bad; but with position five it is great to drive. Combined with the manual box, its heaps of fun. According to SB the unit adds approximately 20% on position 0 (12 o'clock on the fine tune). Basically each position you go up, adds approximately 1% torque and 1% power. So with the potential of 25% extra torque and power, I am happy.
Does it feel like its pushing out 158kw and 512nm (Compared with 127kw and 410nm stock) ? Yeah, in comparison to the V8 cruiser Utes I have driven for years in a coal mine, I reckon its pretty close to the mark. Very impressed with the results for such little efforts.[CENTER][B][U]Matt
