Have you noticed difference in power or noise, since fitting the new exhaust?

I have definitely noticed a difference in noise, thats to be expected with a 3" I guess. Its not too loud and has given it a nice sound for a diesel. It didnt turn the prado into a supercar but it feels like it has more power higher in the revs.

I made a small false floor in place of the small 2nd row seat to fit and secure my 21L engel. used 12mm ply and bolted to seat mounts and front of my draws. I will carpet it to match the draws somewhere to buy some.

Brought a Powertech 80w solar panel last week. I havent had a chance to see if it will keep my batteries charged while bush but it is not going to make it worse.

I found a place to keep the solar panel up beside the drawers, next to the fridge. I put in a piece of alloy angle for it to sit on and a couple of lugs to tie it in.





I also fitted a 50a anderson plug next to the 2nd battery to be able to plug the solar panel in easy.

Nothing to really complain about. Took a little paint off my AJ120 sliders getting out of Ducie Creek, Scratched the rear bumper and dented exhaust tip at the entry of Cockatoo Creek. A few days after all the water crossings on the tele track I had trouble starting the prado. When I turned the Key to start it would 'click' but not crank, eventually it would turn over. When I had a spare morning I pulled the starter motor out and tried to find the issue, I must have got a bit of dirty water inside it and the contacts on the plunger where not good. I cleaned them up with a small file and put back together. I havent had an issue since but still going to replace them when I get time. Being the first time up the cape for me I was surprized at how 'easy' the tele track was this time of the year. Just walk the crossings first, go steady and be prepared for the worst. In saying that I would go back and do it all again tomorrow.
