      Hi butane, my winch bar project will be a bit later on down the track as I need to get a winch first so I can work out the measurements for the winch mounting plate and where to make the cut out on the bar. I will keep a watch on you rig build up to see how you go, what size winch did you go for 10000lb or the 12000lb ? Cheers Brett

Mine are just made out of MDF screwed to a steel frame (20mm RHS) and the drawers are 16mm pine, the handles are stainless steel which cost me $40 of eBay the drawer slides I got for free and I'm not sure what they cost. Brett,

          You are right sending something of that size and weight across the country would be far too expensive.
          I can weld and have a stick welder (no mig unfortunately). If you have some plans with measurements and happy to share I would love to have them to have a go at making a set.

                      Where did you get the fittings to attach to the bullbar?

                          Did a trip up to the Pinnacles on the long weekend

                          [img=http://s23.postimage.org/4xu79p6xj/image.jpg]

                          Prado went in to Toyota to have a leaking rear main seal replaced, while they had the gear box and clutch off they skimmed the fly wheel and replace the bearings in the clutch ( made the clutch so much softer ).

                                craigm Likes this!!!

                                YES PLEASE????
                                Care to make a couple of sets Brett?? I'm sure there would be plenty of takers for these considering ARB can't be bothered making a suitable recovery point to suit their own Bars (please take note Sam!)
