To run the light, i rang power down to the rear.
It is 3 B & S cable, as i have plans for rear Andersons for future camper, plus fridge power.

It was a very tight fit running along the side under the door sills.

Attached at starter battery for now, until i install a second battery. i left the cable long enough to reach around to front drivers side.

Brought up in the jack compartment to a rear isolator and fuse box. this is also temporary until i get the rear draws sorted.

Instead of tying the rear light into the reverse lights, I set up a remote.

It is controlled by the black box below the fuse box in this pic.

It has a range of about 30mtrs, which is good when down on the beach fishing.
Also good for the next moron who tailgates me!

Only thing that I had trouble with was although the light has a positive and negative wire, the LED light earths through its mount. Of course I didn't future that out for quite a while.

And because of that the remote wouldn't work, the light would just stay on. Finally figured it out, when I adjusted the height with it switched on, it flickered, and then a light bulb went off in my head!!

Cheers MJ. it works for what i want it to do. Plus it was cheap:-)

The plan is to get another light in the same style thats a spread beam, as the one on there is a pencil beam, and mount it to the side of this one.

I re used the relay from my old Hilux for the spotties on the bullbar.
They are Hella 4000's that i have converted to HID.

I mounted the ballasts with 3M double sided tape to the underside of the bullbar.
No that is not permanent, as it was a cheap HID kit. I'm going to order a good quality kit
shortly, which ill switch over and then ill mount the ballasts in front of the radiator area.

New Era double relay with built in fuse mounted to drivers side engine bay.

I picked up a good quality water proof toggle switch for my under bonnet lights.
The old one had rusted out within a few months. well see how this one goes.

Due to the massive amount of issues i had with the suspension and bullbar installation, i got some extras to 'make me feel better about them'

A set of Maxtrax which i mounted to the roof with the use of a set of mounting pins to roof rack bars.

I wanted black ones, but they didn't have them, I actually had to tell them that they come in colours other than Orange.
So ill probably give these to my Dad or Brother and get 2 sets of Black in the near future. Sounds funny, but I want black ones, that will look better on the car.

I also got a new Air Compressor, which i used to replace my old ARB compressor. Good little unit, much faster than my old one.
And can run air lockers when i go down that path.

Can a few people have a look at these pics and confirm my thoughts.

Got under the car to have a good look after the recent trip, make sure I didn't still have half a beach tucked up in the crevasses, and saw my exhaust.
Now to me, it looks as tho it has gotten extreme hot. Before we left, it looked its usual galv colour, now it looks 20 yrs old.

Hey Fido, no, no salt flats.
                        Just the beach.

I've know what happens to metal when it gets very hot and then cools, it's looks just like that. When towing the boat back, it would have gotten hot, but not all that hot I wouldn't have thought.

Beaches have salt too, especially if you drove through any wet parts.

Too me it looks like plain old rust but I'm no Metallurgist so will bow to wiser heads on this one.

So it's been awhile since I added anything here, all I can say is it's been a very busy year!
Which also means I've saved some money to throw at the Prado.
                            Things I've bought and need to fit to the girl over the next few days;

                            Outback solutions dual rear draws
                            Dual battery tray
                            Optima D34 battery,
                            ABR solenoid
                            Complete the rear power wiring
                            Anderson plug
                            New 1500 watt Inverter
                            Redarc electric brake Controller
Hard wire the Blackvue car camera
                            Fridge drop slide
                            70ltr fridge
                            Rhino roof rails
                            Foxwing awning
Remount the Maxtrax- still thinking I should get Craig's brackets, we'll see.

So I got started today, and will hopefully get it all done by next Friday.
I can't work too hard it's the holidays!

I started with the rear draws, figuring get them in and install the wiring etc around them.
I'll give you the red hot tip, - if you can afford to buy rear draws, give them the $300 they want to install it. It's worth it.less headaches, grumpiness etc. . . .

The installation instructions are generic, so designed for any type of car, with very limited info on specific requirements for individual vehicles.
Plus the instructions have terrible pictures to show what they mean.

One problem I do have, is the company I bought them from gave me the wrong wing kit pieces for the 150.
So at the moment I've just got the 2 draws in place, will have to wait til next week to go back to them.
Fingers crossed they have the correct kit, otherwise I'm thinking it will be a 3 week wait from over east.
