Thanks blokes, yeah I am very happy with the new look, especially given that I had not seen the T3 bar installed on a Prado in the real. There are a couple getting around up here with the ARB Sahara bar, but I am yet to lay eyes on another TJM T3.

I have a few more pics to upload, but I left the camera at home today, will get them up tomorrow.

Ok I washed her and took a few more pics over the week-end. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, in the coming weeks I will have some 4x4 shots.

Mate just installed a T13 bar myself and must say that Happy as with the bar but the plastics are crap. I noticed you bar was cut to do yours, is there any chance of finding out if the boys have a template for the cut or do they just wing it, ha, made a funny. The profiles of the inserts and the bar are diffent otherwise I would just trace them out and hack away. Cheers Tony

It's been a while now since the suspension and mods have gone on. I am absolutely loving the TJM XGS gold suspension, great comfort and control on road and even better off it. I only had the soft or comfort springs put in the front as well as the back because I wanted a nice ride. It is OK for towing as I use a Weight Dist. Hitch - however after loading it up to go camping last week-end, I measured it and the rear dropped 25mm with all the weight (fridge, water, wood, tent, bikes etc.). I still don't want to go to the heavy springs as 99% of my driving is done with no load, so I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and fit some polyairs. Anyone have any advice on these?

When TJM originally installed the front struts, they only used the one 25mm spacer and when all was said and done, the front was only sitting at 775mm while the back was 835mm. It looked ridiculous and you could really notice it sitting down at the front. After advice from "Hutch" on here I took it back and they installed the additional 10mm spacer and it now sits at 800mm Front. Much Better. 8-)

Here are a couple of pics from our camping trip to Blackdown Tableland last week-end (now looking at upgrading the side awning to a Foxwing after the rain we had). This is an awesome spot and if anyone is thinking of heading out there, now is the time as there is still plenty of water in the creeks and coming over the falls.

Looks like a top trip mate! Comfort on a lift is always a great success. Taken a while to get mine right or any 4wd i've had for that matter.

However sounds like the coils you have would be way too soft for what you carry... I got the airbags in mine as i am running 'comfort coils' on the rear (medium lovells) and to assist with preventing the vehicle sagging. I went with firestone coil right air bags. Seem to work well, especially when you fill up with 150L of diesel!

                        Thanks for that VX,

I am looking at coilrite v polyair at the moment and whether I can fit them myself or perhaps just have it installed.

I kind of resigned myself to the fact that I would need airbags because of the ride I wanted. That was the first time I had loaded it up and it did pretty much what I ecpected it to do, so now it is just what brand and what pressures to run. Simple fix really to keep the ride comfy and the car level.

What pressures do you run normal and loaded?

I'm not sure of the differences but i paid $295 and doesn't appear i paid for labour to have them installed.

Was advised to run 4-6 psi unloaded but i noticed it still sat slightly too low on the rear with a full tank. So i ran it on 20 Psi for two weeks (as manual suggested to anyway to bed them in) and the ride was definitely rougher, however sat up nicely.

I am now running 12 PSI on side with fridge and 10 PSI on the other side and i think its about right! Amazing how quick it is too to pump them up, 1/4 sec per psi roughly.

Are the shocks foam cells for comfort?

                            Thanks for the info mate.

Nah, just the normal XGS GOLD Gas.

                            $295 sounds good to me.
