Well, its been quite a while since I've been on here - and not much has changed with my rig since relocating to NSW, other than SWMBO is handing the keys back over to me for safe custody of my pride and joy again (fridge and camp box going back in permanently, and losing the third row of seats once and for all).
My Bushranger NiteHawk HIDs are just about cactus, after all the rivets holding them together have started to get sloppy, so its time for an upgrade.
I'm considering the over-priced ABR Intensity 21s, but would take any feedback about other viable options of a similar quality and performance (possibly the Lightforce 215s).
Cheers!
Any feedback appreciated, or a link to where discussion has already been held.2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

So I decided to go with the Lightforce LED215s. In my opinion, They rate better than the ARBs and have a better colour temperature at 5,000K.
I got a good deal on the lights, and managed to do the wiring on my own, so saved a few $$$ in the process. Because of the curved shape of the Toyota Sovereign bull bar, and the style of mounting bracket on these lights, I had to drill new holes in the bullbar and move the lights forward a bit so as not to hit the top rail of the bullbar, but they are mounted solidly now, so all good.
I did a first test last night, while I adjusted them, and they are awesome! I think the light they give out is as good as the HIDs they are replacing, and both are spread pattern, so I have wider vision closer to the vehicle as well, and they are not as blue/white as the HIDs, so less extreme reflection on shiny objects.2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

She's all mine now, since SWMBO has a new ride. Got the camp box back in permanently, hoping to get away this weekend as we haven't been in the tent since relocating, and it's well past due!
Looks like the GTG was a huge success - one of our only regrets about leaving Tassie was missing the GTG.2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

Thanks Chewy. Its been a labour of love. Not much more needs doing now, for how we use her. The setup works perfectly for our needs.2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

Back into it. Been busy of late, but just bought our first (and potentially last) camper trailer at the Sydney Camper show, so a few mods coming...
Going to have to run Anderson plug and install a break controller. I know these are covered elsewhere, so will research first, but leaning towards the Redarc Tow Pro Elite.2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new Patriot Campers X1 Limited edition next month, all vehicle mods are complete now.
New sandflag mount added to get ready for the Simpson next year, shovel holders added, Brake Controller (Tekoshina P3 in the end due to the ability to transfer it between vehicles) and Anderson cables fitted.
Now to wait...2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build
