      Looks awesome Joey

Surely once you have your lockers fitted there can't be anything else you need....
The blue lights all-round just top it off nicely.

      Once again mate, AWESOME!

      Cheers,

Mate she's turning into a bit of a weapon now! Pitty you won't be able to put the 285's next set of tyres.

Can't wait to feel the difference with the chip tomorrow... I think you'll give the D4D's a run for their money that's for sure. Give the exhaust 1000kms and I rekon it'll change a bit more... It'll certainly turn a few heads that's for sure!

        Cheers,

          Re: Joey's rig build up

Joey with the big 3 incher (sorry I could help myself) Yep got to love that sound, would be interesting to see if fuel rates change ?
Too bad you don't have any tunnels up your way? I know people who would just drive through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel just to listen to their exhaust - cough cough ops: ops:

          Assuming if 100W = ~7.4Amps (@ 13.6V) per light
          8 x 7.4 = 59.2 Amps
I can't seem to get a definitive answer as to what the alternator is pumping from 960W - either 67A(14.2V), 70A(13.6V) or 80A(12V) perhaps someone who knows more about travelling electrons would like to confirm ?
So in Spurio theory you should be able to run all of them for a bit Just enough for a photo taken behind a welding helmet ??

I had my UHF aerial in the same spot and broke 3 of them driving through the bush. I ended up getting one of those GME stainless steel bullbar mounting collars ($30) and moving it up onto the outer left top bar. It doesn't seem to catch every overhanging plant and it has increase reception and broadcast to the rear quite a lot. You need to fit it about half way between the center frame at the bent over edge, to make sure the bonnet doesn't hit it when opening it. I got the tight fitting one and needed to bend the bolts so that it would fit. I've kept hitting some decent brush with it and so far no more breaks. Its those bloody jungle vines that seem to catch everything.

OK enough pictures of the car where's the one of your smiling gob from ear to ear ??
"Ooops I just deleted the internet, lucky I was able to recover 99.7% of it out of the bin"

            Spurio,

            Joeys lights are:

            Light force 5 x 75w @ say 13.8v = 27A
            IPF's 3 x 65w @ say 13.8v = 14A
            Headlights: 2 x 50w @ say 13.8v = 7.2

            Grand total: 48.2A

The lights are supplied via a separate switch, so switching in and out won't be a problem if other high current draw items will be required at the same time, or sugar cane burn offs aren't required. So no need to worry. Also, given that Joey has an auxiliary battery, this will help "prop" up any deficits that may occur in a long haul night drive with all lights blazing, which for Joey, is not an everyday occurrence. For blasting through local cane fields and the odd night run I rekon they'll be pearlers and best of they can be switched in and out when required.

            Crammy.

PS What's the story behind your avatar???

              Re: Joey's rig build up

Thanks for clearing that up Crammy

I wasn't sure if Joey was running the old 900 - 130W IPFs or the 140 or 170 Light force and figured the 100W would be a good unedumakated guestimate

I thought the AMP draw would be fine as most winches pull far in excess of that under max load without problems

that is one mean looking Prado joey!

                awesome awesome awesome.

I'll be keen to hear your feedback on the exhaust. I wouldn't mind some extra power when overtaking - pickup at 110km/h isn't great when you have a 3 trailer semi to overtake.
