Ok. So I've mounted the new light bar to a bracket I made for the roof rack. Pretty happy with how it sits. Now to paint the bracket black so it doesn't stand out. Just need to sort out how to get the wiring to the roof without any drilling and so it's nice and neat. Any ideas people?

Hey Brendos , in the. 120 there is a small gap on the outside of your windscreen where you can neatly tuck a wire in to run from your engine bay to your roof . I don't know if it's the same for the 150

Not wanting to be negative but it looks to far back. You may have a serious "glare" issue with it positioned back there. Hope I'm wrong though... :-)

Thanks mattfunk. I will have a look into it in the next day or so. That would work out great if I could get a cable to the roof in that way.

Ben 29150. I am a little concerned about the glare issue too. I'm going to wire it with a temporary lead to see how it looks when on. Unfortunately I don't have any roof platform or basket to get me further forward at the moment. Any ideas in that area would be helpful too. Cheers

Maybe ask CraigM. Gumboot mentioned something about Craig running a piece of string between your rooftop light & bullbar or bonnet & if anything is impeded that is where you get glare. Again that's my dodgy explanation, others may know
              Cheers Matt

What glare are you referring to ben? Glare off the bonnet? or glare off the roof? Roof obviously isnt an issue but you may expect very slight shadowing of the roof line on the road up close to the car but I doubt it will affect much with a 30' light bar. My 40' bar is further forward than brendos where it is more susceptible to glare off the bonnet and I have no issues with glare.

The further back and the closer to the roof a lightbar is, the less glare you are going to get off the bonnet and the top of the bullbar.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will test out the bar if I get a chance tomorrow night and post up some pics from inside as well as out. I hoping it's all good because it will save me a lot of mucking around. Cheers

Ok. So I have found a few spare minutes tonight for a quick test run with the 30" light bar on the roof. I just temporarily hooked it up to a battery to see what kind of glare I'm getting. Pretty happy with the result I must say. There is no glare visible on the bonnet from inside the car at all. Because of the mouthing location being 1/3 of the way back along the roof the angle of the light is unable to hit the bonnet whatsoever. Just need to sort out my cabling to the roof and paint up the mounting brackets and she will be good to go. Click image for larger version
