    Hey Guys,

Thought I would document my build with the new 2.8L. Purchased the vehicle in September 2015 moving from a Jeep WK2 Grand Cherokee.

There was certainly a change in driving style from having a chipped 3.0L V6 Euro Diesel to a 4 Cylinder Jap.

It was modified straight from the showroom floor with a ARB deluxe steel bar.

Within the first week it received IPF HID 35w spots, Icom UHF and RFI antenna.

Before Christmas, a ARB steel roof rack was attached and Dick Cepek Fun Country all round in the larger 70 profile.

Mid-march 2016 more bits were added with ARB steel side bars, two ARB front recovery points and Smittybuilt X20 gen 2 winch added. Also added was a 2" lift courtesy from OME BP-51 coils.

To be added over Easter once all the parts arrive, is a dual battery system with solar capability. Purchased so far is a Redarc 1240 LV, Redarc solenoid and 240W folding solar panel.

Finally got around to install the dual battery system utilising a Piranha battery tray, Redarc 1240 LV and a 240watt folding solar panel. Spent a little time to weld up a bracket to hold the Redarc and allow airflow around the unit behind the air filter.

Solar charging works a mint and now just have to decide on a fridge for the back.

So far the OME BP-51 have been the best choice in after market suspension wise and easily recommend to spend that extra again. Has turned the vehcle into a great high speed touring vehicle.

Provent has arrived and will have to decide where to fit that. Another mod I need to look at is diff breathers and would love to install the ARB twin compressor and tank somewhere.

          Looks fantastic.

I picked up a new VX 2.8 in Feb and looking at fitting the OME BP-51 front and back ... been reading good things about them.
Which springs did u choose for the back? if you dont mind me asking, how much did the system set you back installed?

          Cheers

Rear springs are OME part #2898, and from memory around 3k for install. Adding the adjustability factor and being able to rebuild them at a fraction of the cost of acquiring new suspension were some of the points for justification.

            Plus, they look great.
