    Re: Black Prado Chick's Buildup

Got my snorkel fitted on thursday finally, and installed my new winch the day before, and this winch actually works, and I can even wash my car without it filling up with water!!

Gee maybe I should have taken a photo without her in it. All i've heard all weekend is "oh what a beautiful husky" and "how old is your husky" and "is that a husky or malamute" I refuse to ever take her camping ever again.... she gets too much attention.

Thats a great looking rig you've got there BPC. Are you considering a rack up top and what are you doing for storage in the back?

I am thinking of getting an ARB roof rack, although I probably dont need it as I tend to not have much stuff in the car anyway. All I really store in the car is the esky, everything else goes in the camper trailer.

It is a husky! And yes dark windows are next and then some decent tyres.

I hadn't noticed an absence of traction but I guess it does look like you are sporting some craps there

Too bad....... I'm a Malamute person....... Just kidding!! Huskies are good dogs but they always seem waaaay too hot here in Perth.....
I've still got my Dunlop AT20's too and haven't died yet. Still I didn't really try to kill myself either...... If ever I get some spare money *hysterical laughing* then I'll be getting some new rubber too. Gotta have fun killing the Grandtreks first though.

Exactly how big is your additions list anyhow BPC?? Mine is under control..... at least it used to be...... :? No really.......

Well at this stage its not huge. I still want a dark tint, some all terrains, roof racks with 4 spotties accross it, front and rear lockers, power chip and thinking of getting a bonnet scoop, something like what the new hilux has.... I'm sure there is more but I cant think straight right now, all thats running thru my head is "ITS FRIDAY"

Bonnet scoop..... hmmmmmmmmmmnn That's a serious mod alright. I'd be tempted to pull a bonnet off a wrecked Prado and try modding that first. I mean, you're going to be cutting a dirty great hole in it! Or were you thinking the fiberglass option?

Roof rack and all-terrains, check! They're on my list too! Must........resist.......spending.......m..m...mon ey!

I havent looked into the whole bonnet scoop thing properly yet, but when some more $$$$ comes along I will find out some more info. But we decided last night that the next thing its getting is a lift! Winning the lotto right now would speed this whole process up alot quicker because its not easy to pay debts, give our boat a full makeover and keep adding extras to the prado all at the same time.

i ve looked quite seriously into the bonnet scoup...they are 240 bucks from toyota then need to be colour coated....that comes with the seals and the whole kit..

i didnt think it would be that hard to do, my biggest concern was the fack of alll the water pouring in with the rivers and mud missions we do up here..

                              still keen though 8)

Ohhhh... boat makeover... that won't be cheap :? Any decent marine gear costs decent money, no other way about it. Still.... the fish are worth it! 8) Boat fitout or Prado suspension fitout? Glad that's your decision!
