Well hopefully the tax man brings us lots of $$$ this year as the boat makeover is high priority and MUST be back on the water before summer. And the boat is very expensive to makeover, the worst part will be the new motor will we cost us about 10k.

I know what you're saying . 10K sounds about right. We recently looked at buying some new 70hp Yamaha 2 stroke outboards to replace one that was dead and one very rattly one, and were quoted around 8k apeice. My father ended up buying a heap of used / semi-used parts and building up a new motor from those. Retired farmers have mad skillz like that. Boats just eat money like there's no tomorrow! Damn good fun though!

Which ones? I've seen a bit of info on the new Goodyear MTRs and these seem pretty cool and good value for money. There is a tyre round up in the latest 4x4 Australia as well. Gives book pricing on common brands, models and sizes. Some of those are getting pretty scary towards the hip pocket  but at least you usually get good milage so it makes it worth it.

I shopped around for prices on a few different tyres and in the end decided that I'd get Maxxis Bighorn Tyres. 265/70/17
I was going to get Cooper ST but my neighbour has them on his Jackeroo and they've worn out real quick so I'll give these a try and if they are no good I can always upgrade!

I'll get pics tomorrow arvo once they've been put on. I've gotta wait for the tyres to arrive at the shop. Maxxis only had 4 in stock so I have to wait a bit longer for the 5th one but I guess thats a good thing, it will give me time to sort out the spacer for the spare wheel as it was only a last minute decision last night to get tyres just in time for the Victoria GTG this saturday...

Is there any other? I guess you could go wider but that seems to have more concerns with insurance companies than higher if you can work that out.

There is always 265/65/17 but I wanted the extra height for clearance sake.

I don't think I'm familiar with that size

Looks good there BPC. Any upgrade over the GrandTreks is good. You should hear the tyres. Makes you feel confident!

How much a tyre did you pay for them? What sort of Mileage are you expecting from them?
