Glenn what was that red light that kept coming up on the dash under hard acceleration then would go off when coming back down ?? Or was it a speed alert or some thing although no 90 series I know of had speed alert fitted......Cheers Steve (by the way job well done, don't think my 120 would pull away from a SC 90 lol)Face lift 150 Prado V6 auto. How's this going? Trouble-free? Had much use over the holidays?Toyota Prado GXL Kimberly - 95 Series - 3.4L V6

It's had heaps of use - Sydney to Armidale, Oxley Wild Rivers, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay and still going...
On dirt it's absolutely fantastic. High speed trails can be driven like rally, low range climbs can be done in a fraction of the time via high range 1st (but downhill is just as slow as normal).
On highway it's been great except for a tank of 91 ULP at WW Coffs which caused excessive pinging on ascents. Topping up with BP 98 has fixed that but it shouldn't have happened given I've run ULP and E10 without issue prior.
Engine temperature has remained below half, or at-half despite very high summer temps, low range and air conditioning.glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90

You run 91/E10 pretty often?
We only use 98 in ours, sometimes 95. It costs a little bit more but can definitely feel the difference in power. Probably doesn't work out better for economy but surely it's better for the engine?Toyota Prado GXL Kimberly - 95 Series - 3.4L V6
