I put some stick-on picture hooks to hold the top crate in position but it doesn't really need it. Oh and the cost, total less than $10!!!!!
i did this one today, cracker of an idea! $7 in parts!

            • I too have one of those dash mats and i love it! Friend said its like wearing socks with sandals....

Ordered one for my father 2 years ago from a red and white accessories shop, they said they would ring when it came in. Never heard from them
So 18 months later looking around the shop and spy a dash mat for a 120 series for $5.00 on special!!!

Never got picked up they say!!

              Good score!!

                  • This idea must have really taken off.........went to K-Mart today and the only two sizes they didn't have were the ones I wanted. Could have got them in white, but didn't think it would look as good.

Dammmm, just have to wait for them to come back in stock.

                    • I had a similar story Signature35 up at K-Mart Orange.

I found a medium allright and it trimmed down nicely with a stanley knife. I don't think I found the correct small size, but found a "triple pack" of small baskets which seem to do the job.

For trimming down the medium size, I found a Stanley knife fine, then a belt sander to smooth off the edges.

Now I just have to find somewhere to put rubbish cause up till now the centre console held a little rubbish bin.

                        • I think this idea was posted previously but this time I went down and bought the set as recommended. Brilliant!! The triming is no biggy and it means that I can get the bottom with one lift of a basket. It is a wonder that toyo hasn't put this in as standard. Hats off mjrandom!!!!

                          • dash mat

                            hi all,
i do not think using a dash mat is a good idea.
i used to have one until i put my hand under the mat i could not
touch the dash. Since then i use one of those chrome sun guards
                            inside the windscreen, big diference.

                            cheers gxl05..

Thats a great idea with the rear door shock cord. Stuff is always falling out. I picked up some shock cord today from my local boat supplies, had a quick look at the fittings.......am I correct in assuming I need to take the rear door lining off. Was hoping for a simpler solution, but if I have to.....I have to. Thanks

                                Hi Rob,
Yep, after nearly buggering up the little frame that goes around the webbing while trying to get it off the door, i realised the whole door lining had to come off

Not to worry, i've never taken any door lining/panelling off any vehicle so if a muggle like me can do it any-one can
