          • SWMBO is a lot calmer when out doing reccie work for the 2015 GTG when she thinks the MAXTRAX is packed. Just didn't tell her I hadn't packed them this time.

That's funny - but what if you had got stuck, how to explain?

May not be so much of a problem if VK packed enough wine!

No the things I carry but never had to use for myself, yet! Have used them to get others out of trouble.

                        • I learnt to day that people shouldn't sit so close up the arse of the car in front at 110k and cause an accident in turn causing gridlock on the M4 this afternoon/tonight. If they left some space and read the traffic ahead Sydney's traffic may be a bit better to handle. Thank god I only do this road once a week in peak hour when I have to pick up the 5 year old from Seven Hills (inlaws)........Cheers Steve

Do not open the door when stuck in a mud hole (I know that and I think most of you here know that)

I was talking to the installer of my GPS/DVD unit, and he told me he just had a new Altitude into his workshop. The driver stuck the Prado in a soft muddy hole, about 10 to 12 inches below the bottom of the window. To get out of the Prado, the driver opened the door, and the muddy water poured in. (he did not think to open the window or sun roof to climb out)

The water fried most of the wiring (under the seats, dashboard, stereo unit, etc, etc), so he contacted his insurance company, and when they saw the dried mud on the carpets, panels, etc, they refused to pay up because he was not on a named roadway.

So far, the bill to the driver is $10,800 out of his own pocket.
