  • I learnt that 4 & 6 year old boys don't know the difference between a weed and a vegetable growing in the garden. The one and only vegetable to grow because of all the rain we have had and the bouys bring it inside saying they have made a start in weeding the garden. God bless them.

        • The Brembos and APs on the VE and E series weren't good enough? Gee you are a hard marker Kav! Those two piece front rotors are 390mm in diameter with 6 pot forged aluminium calipers. Rears are tiny, just 375mm. The rear brakes are that size because of the work they do with the torque vectoring differential. The new system is lighter than the system it replaces even though the rotors are much larger.

3 weeks to go. Not that I am counting.

          • Today, I learnt how to set up and operate a Grove GMK 5130-1. 130T crane.
Just a few Hundred more set ups and I'll be keen to go.
Upgrading my 60T slewer ticket to an open class, taken some time to step up but its due.
            Cheers

            • Today I learnt it's really hard to find a decent outdoor/exterior red coloured paint.
Not sure that I've got want I wanted, but guess I'll find out tomorrow when the paint gets applied :-/
Was looking for the same cherry red as the minister's off road buggy, but that was colour matched to nail polish (LOL) and it looks great!
Maybe I need to take the buggy in so they can colour match it :-)

We had a Demag 140t up until a couple of years ago (no need for that size at the moment) it was a great lifter. We bought it second hand out of Germany with very few hours so I was part of the commissioning team. Once it was certified I wasn't allowed to drive it anymore

                    • I learnt that the woman who caused a pile up on a major local arterial rd yesterday in peak time , stopped to answer her phone on a 3 lanes per side bridge , 80ks per hour limit , which caused a truck to slam into the back of her car , rupturing the fuel tank and causing it to catch fire with a 4 year old in the back , and blocking not 3 but 4 lanes out of six . These are the sort of human beings that are allowed not only to gain a license and a flashy car , but to also probably get paid to breed . What happened to Darwins theory , these dimwits survived and will probably breed further . Meanwhile the truckie will get crucified .
