Lol. Our boys play soccer and we sometimes take the Prado just so we can park where normal cars can't. Haha
2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.

23, Polyairs are a poor substitute for proper air suspension.
24 The more you spend on your truck the more you can't afford to sell it
25 I wouldn't keep 2 sets of tyres again just Cooper ST Max or Muds
26 Wouldn't rush into ARB air lockers again not unless they fix the oil in the lines problem or else go completely hydraulic!
27 Prado has been more reliable than previous 4X4.

I've only had my Prado for a couple of months but can relate to almost all of these. So true in so many ways.

              29. Look after it better than Toyota ever could and it will last you a long time and be a reliable vehicle.

                    30. There are more 'upgrade' bits sitting in the shed or garage than have been put on the car. Then you realize after you have bought a new upgrade that you now have two of the same item because you bought the same part last year and haven't installed it yet.
                    31. Parallel parking in not needed when you can drive straight in and use the footpath to your advantage.

                        34. Fitted out correctly, maintained correctly the Prado is a bloody good touring 4wd. Standard long range tanks and comfortable driving position.

                          35. The Prado has secret Narnia style hidey holes where dust accumulates

                            8. Double, triple and quadruple checking that I have picked up the diesel pump at the servo
Two thumbs up! and still laughing about #8 - as I own a petrol and a diesel... I also do it the other way around when filling up the Petrol RAV4

Agreed - my underbody protection gets a fair workout on standard tracks. 2" lift still on the ToDo list.

LoL - especially at BP for the 8c/l discount...

                            36. the on-road costs at the dealer... is NOT the off-road cost!
                            - bar work, radio, roof rack, ARB recovery point, snorkel, awnings, maxtrax, compressor, dual battery, seat covers, front-sensors (ebay), matrax brackets, shovel, recovery toys and kits, the list goes on and on...

                            37. the accessory relay "box" passenger side engine bay - requires an engineering degree and 4 hours of cursing to fit "custom accessory" relays.

                            38. by the time you have a fridge and recovery gear in the back - you need a trailer to go camping...

                            39. gets irritated by the "state" of the offroad tracks in the forests - as only competition trucks can get through most of them... not a $65k tourer

                              40. It will fit a double lilo or foam mattress nicely in the back, converting it into a Shaggin' Wagon, complete with privacy glass and cup holders.

So true! When mine needs a really good clean, I do it in three or four sessions: Outside, inside, hidey holes and quick touch up.
