I am an Area Controller for Railcorp, NSW... Which is a fancy name for a Signalman. My job description is to provide the safe and efficient paths for trains. Pain in the arse job, but pays well.

Something better off the top of my head

            Directional Logistics Safety Officer????
That title may be worth a payrise for me. I will have a word to the union and management. Thanks, I owe you one.

I am a Refrigeration and Airconditioning Technician working for Newcastle Universities maintenance dept. My role mostly relates to computer control systems over a network. I look after systems that are the size of a house to your average domestic split system.

I would say i would be amongst the youngest of the 120 owners on here at 28, I wanted a 4WD and the wife would only have one that was "pretty"... So the 120 fits the bill in all areas.

Have been out of town for a few weeks & can't believe the huge amount of new postings.

Back to my background (In a past life)
I started my working career as a mechanic for Rolls Royce & Bentley, getting to be foreman & adviser material. Left Kellows after 20 years to take on one of Melbournes oldest & highly respected Wheel alignment establishments. Eventually changed it to become a Front end Specialist/Mechanical repairs & Independent Tyre Dealer. That kept me occupied for 27 years.

Have since retired from the hard grind & am now working as a Boat Safety Instructor. This takes me all over Victoria teaching Marine Safety, hence the need for a good tow vehicle as often required to tow two Boats (piggy backed) & a lot of equipment.

                  Cheers Fazza

Not as world changing as some of the occupations I have read so far... but it keeps me off the streets

For as long as I can remember photography has been a part of my life and always wanted to make it my job.

Studied photography formally in 1996 and have been freelancing on and off since then (trip overseas got in the way for a fair while).
Since 2000 I have been teaching photography at a local college in Brisbane and that has taken a bit of a front seat to my own photography business in the last year or so.

Now that I have a means to get further into the bush, I'll probably focus more on teaching and change the direction of my business from commercial photography to landscape and stock photography.
                    Cheers, Leon

I'm a biologist, well more accurately (and a bit fancy) an ichthyologist. Fish - hence my forum name.

I'm interested in which fish live where, how they came to be that species of fish and how they are related to others ... a mix of biogeography and evolution.

Yes, I go fishing and diving for work

                                Hi All,

Started out as a sparky working in the green sheds in Newcastle before migrating into a sales role with an instrumentation company. Since then I have relocated to WA and have worked for a couple of different organisations. Now Sales Manager for an AUtomation and Control company mainly dealing with everyting from PLC's and SCADA to Power protection and generation and UPS's.

Certainly have no shortage of work at the moment considering the current mining and infrastructure boom.

Also if any of the Perth locals are arranging a Prado bash - feel free to drop me a note as i would be keen to catch up with some locals.
